Good cabin but if you lose power youâre on your own
had an issue with the AC leaking water, we were able to get ahold of Chelsea & she sent someone out within the hour to fix it. We traveled from hours away & did not bring a lot of kitchen items bc the listing says they have utensils, dishes, & other cooking items. A lot of the kitchen items were broken & there were not nearly enough items for cooking for them to claim that they have a kitchen stocked with these items.There is a warning on the listing that the area is prone to lose power with inclement weather. There was a storm in the area on the Saturday that we stayed, we lost power around 6pm. Bc we had no wifi to contact the manager, we had to drive until we got service to call her. Once on the phone I explained to her that we were out of power, & had no access to running water as well due to this, & that it was going to be getting dark soon, there were flashlights provided but no batteries. Her reply was that the power should be back on within a few hours- but that there wasnât anything else she could do for us. While I am aware that they cannot control the weather- the owners need to ensure the safety and comfortability of their guests through these issues, flash lights with batteries need to be provided, lanterns. They should also seriously consider getting a propane grill, as a very small, uncovered charcoal grill is your only option hereâŠwe were unable to cook bc we had no electric and it was pouring. We were without electricity and running water for 10 hours.
