"This is our second stay here because it’s such fantastic base. The views are stunning from the bedroom window and also the restaurant. A great breakfast awaits in the morning. We will be back again next year on our way up to the Great North Run. This hotel is a real hidden gem."

Lovely staff, dilapidated water damaged rooms.
"In spite of some very lovely staff, this hotel is in an appalling state and desperately need of a facelift. Water damage on the walls, peeling paint, leaking toilets, a broken shower and windows that haven’t been cleaned in years. The owners need to spend a lot of money on this establishment that ..."
