Great time on Canandaigua

Great property with a beautiful view of the lake! Plenty big enough for 8 adults and 2 kids. We had a fantastic time. Owners are super nice and very accommodating. Loved it!

We had a great time using this property as our base for visiting around the NY Upstate area. Robert and Kathy Baxter are the very best hosts. We had an issue with losing a key and they solved our problem within minutes.Kathy is very friendly and willing to help with anything. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. If we're back in this area, this home would be our choice. PS. only two cars but a nice big parking area. Thanks to Kathy and Robert

A very cute place to stay!

This place was really nice. Even better than the photos. We were two families (2 parents with 2 kids) staying so it was a great setup. The upstairs had two bedroom/ 2 bathroom with living room and then two bedroom/ one bath downstairs. The kitchen was well stocked for those looking to cook. We cooked many meals. The beds were comfortable to sleep on. The only one thing I would say I didn’t like was a long checkout list instructions and you had to be out by 10am. This is not uncommon for most Vrbo but I always find it a little annoying especially since everyone pays a cleaning fee. Any way, this how most rentals operate and something should be said. The location is beautiful and quiet. A perfect getaway!

Perfect Family Reunion Location

This is the second time our family gathered here, 4 siblings and their spouses. The house is beautiful and fulfills our needs perfectly. Two of our family members have mobility issues so the elevator usage is vital. The house is very clean and the amenities include everything you need. Everything we needed for making meals was available in the large kitchen. We played numerous games around the dining table. Communication with the host is very easy. She is very attentive to our needs, quick to respond, and very kind. The house is close to restaurants if needed and hiking trails. We also enjoyed the Canandaigua Lady boat tour this year. And we like to make a quick trip to Naples to satisfy for cravings of grape pie. The view overlooking Canandaigua Lake is very relaxing.

Even better than expected

This lake house was even better than expected after reading the great reviews. One of our family members is mobility impaired and we splurged on this gorgeous property with an elevator. The two porches with views of the lake were my favorite part. All of the little details from stuff for s’mores to plentiful supplies, and the hosts’ gracious welcome basket were exceptional. This property allowed for a true getaway and would highly recommend it!

Sibling & Spouses Reunion

This was the perfect home for 8 of us to gather for an annual reunion. The elevator was a huge plus since two of our family members of accessibility issues. Our weather wasn’t great but we still enjoyed the Canandaigua Lake area, the fire pit, lots of laughter and games. Our hostess, Kathy was very easy to work with. The home was beautiful and very clean. We loved our stay.

Fantastic!

We had a great weekend in Canandaigua. The property was even nicer in person and one of the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful view of the lake from the huge front porch. Great for couples or a large family-very spacious and the backyard was enormous. The owners were friendly, alway in communication & answered all of our questions. Highly recommend!!!

This is a wonderful guest house and Kathy truly makes you feel like a guest. It’s the little touches like the personal note, welcome basket and assistance that make it special. She has thought of everything including labeling all the switches, having different coffee maker options and all the kitchen items to make you feel like you’re home. Terrific stay for our extended family.

This home was perfect for our family/friend vacation. The home was well stocked with anything we needed! Everything was clean and well maintained. The balconies were a perfect evening hangout to watch the sunset. The fenced in back yard was a favorite hangout and all the games they provided were perfect entertainment for the kids! We definitely stay here again.

Great property, but boaters beware

This is a great property and the owner is very kind. If you are a boater, don't count on the marina just down the road. They are not accommodating to visitors. We used the public boat launch in Naples. Also, if you are used to a plush mattress, the mattresses might not suit you well.

Very nice house!

The house was super! Room enough for all 10 of us, 6 adults and 4 kids. Super nice having the 2 living spaces and laundry room. Backyard was nice and we loved the decks off the front! We do wish beach access would have been closer. As even though the lake is directly across from the house it is not public. Had to drive to beach access. Also just to mention, 2 of the 3 baths are not attached to the bedrooms. Not a terrible thing, just FYI.

Elevator and Lake View

10 of us (ages 18 to 83) stayed at this lake house and we loved it! Two people in our group had mobility issues so the elevator was a saving grace. The house was decorated beautifully and it had a nice view of the lake. Everything was spotless, and the homeowner included special touches to make the house feel like our home away from home. This house was no more than 10 minutes from Canandaigua and about 25 minutes from Smith Boys Marine where we rented a pontoon boat for the day.

Awesome lakeview everything house

How do I begin a perfect get-away to our first vaca since covid lockdown. this is a absolutely exquisite rental house with, firebit, 3 cars indoor garage, lakeview baloncy and all rooms facing the lake, minutes drive to the lake park, 30 minutes from best winery around, clean and modern set-up everywhere, even have a EV charger out front (didnt get to use it though). Owner is super attentive and caring via texts. Couldnt find a place with better accommodations than this. Love to come back.
