I’ve never stayed at a motel 6 and possibly won’t again. I understand that you get what you pay for but I don’t understand how there can’t be a little better expectation from the owners or management to keep the place CLEAN.
Staff was ok but didn’t know where items were (coffee lids, etc.)
Room 205
The room (floors, beds, sheets, appliances & appearance) seemed “ok”, BUT the bathroom was UNACCEPTABLE & UNWELCOMING!
The shower floor was dirty and had stains around the edge. DEFINITELY used my flip flops. The shower curtain was nasty. Should be washed in hot bleach or replaced. I made sure my body didn’t touch any part of that shower. The paint in the shower floor was chipping exposing the underneath. The sink was missing the drain stop and had water rings from previous glass cups. The paint was dingy. Ceiling edges had stains underneath from previous mold. The walls should be repainted or at minimum wiped down and disinfected thoroughly.
The walkway to the room was dirty. Yes I understand that these hotels attract truck drivers or construction workers with muddy boots and we can’t control their boot stomping to clear off the mud but we can control how long it stays there for. The floors had grime stickiness, and nastiness build up from the past. Trash cans full of pizza boxes and camera equipment had dirt & webs.
I would hire 1-2 motivated people to do a 100% DEEP CLEAN & DISINFECT of each room, DAILY, year round. 3-5 room details, per day, would make a HUGE difference
