When I called, the front desk agent informed me that only one room remainedand quoted me $297 (including fees). I was told it was the last available room so I booked it despite the shockingly high price. Upon further review, I discovered severe discrepancies in...

« The area is under a little bit of construction now. This is the hotel that is a little further off of I-35, but it is tucked away off the road. There is not great lighting in the parking lot at night. The room had a mini fridge with a freezer and an extra counter and second sink outside the bathroom. »

« We arrived after a big storm and the power was out
It was cold and dark, but the staff didn't pout
They found us a room and showed us the way
Just wrote down my info so the next day I could pay
The next morning the staff said happy holidays and gave my kids a treat and a smile
It might not seem like much, but we loved that they went the extra mile
We got a late checkout because my wife had meetings
It was a definitely a really good stay even though it was fleeting
