Elevator is out. Seems from other reviews it has been out for a while or is at least a frequently recurring problem. The carpeted stairwell smelled like urine. The first room we were checked into had a broken toilet seat and the tv remote didn’t work (not battery related, the buttons were mostly inoperative). A few dead cockroaches around the room in areas that had not been vacuumed.
The second room we were booked into had a constantly running hot water stream coming out of the tub tap (not dripping, running). Again, the floor cleanliness was questionable. The AC fan would only operate on low. It cooled the room but only marginally. The refrigerator started leaking sometime during the first night.
We stayed there. It wasn’t the worst. The owner needs to do a top down renovation of all the floor coverings and fix all of the ongoing maintenance items.
The staff was very friendly and professional as they probably have had to deal with the same complaints for years now (based on other reviews claiming the same conditions).
