Worst customer service at check-in. Front desk was completely empty over half an hour (another customer ahead of me had been waiting about 15 minutes before my arrival). When staff member showed up, she was quite sweaty & panting/out of breath. While she was away, there was no answer when calling using the outside telephone provided or the hotel number (even Expedia representative who assisted me could not get an answer). It took me nearly an hour to get room keys. I did not appreciate being rushed/pressured to make a decision whether or not I would keep the reservation as I awaited for Expedia rep to find a reasonable solution. I requested a call from the manager twice (at check-in and checkout) and was told they don’t make calls & was instead furnished with an email address. Check-in attendant stated she was unhappy with her job and that shift was her final one as she had resigned. The attendant at check-out refused to give out an adjustment to my final bill & asked she leave a message to the manager communicating my request. The Room was dated but reasonably clean & quiet (only positive aspects). The breakfast options were watered-down coffee, no creamer, packaged flavored oatmeal with no available spoons and cheap cereal bars. There was a large metal garbage can in the middle of one side of the parking lot. And

No continental breakfast No ice machine Nobody at front desk when needed I have stayed here 2 times previously, but this was the last time. I had to wait several times for someone to come to the front desk, once when I locked my room key in the room and another time when I needed to give my room key back to check out. I had to actually call the front desk while waiting at the front desk to let them know I was waiting and it still took quite a while for someone to come. Continental breakfast was advertised, but it was completely dark in the lobby at 6:30 am. No coffee for me.

Breakfast was included. But what was Breakfast? Coffee, tea bags with pumped water. Muffins in Stater Brothers plastic bags. Dry as dirt with a "BEST BY" date of October 5, 2026. Nothing else. No fruit, no protein options. They should just direct patrons to a local, competitive hotel and tell them to lie that they stayed there. At least they might have an actual Breakfast.

The rooms are old and it shows. It does not give off a great comfortable vibe. Furniture and cabinets in the kitchenette is chipped. Cracks along the edge of the door. The tub itself has seen better days with lots of residue in it. The hotel is in great need of updating. I would pay the additional cost to stay somewhere else.

This property is like an old motel 6. Everything is low end and worn out. Water stain everywhere. The included soap is only marginally better than none and guests have to ask front desk for shampoo and coffee maker (which was missing parts and non functional)

This is a filthy outdoor outdated and out of touch property posing as a hotel. Stay away from it! I was checked into room 112 by an inexperienced laundry attendant given responsibility for the overnight shift. I genuinely felt bad for her. She was polite and attentive and all but was glue-less about the operating system and procedures for checking in a guest. The property is dark and dismal. Good luck finding your room and reading the room numbers without getting out of the car to find your room after dark. Literally the room number sign on each door is pointless. As if. That was frustrating enough … When I finally found the room I opened the door to the absolute worst odor of pesticide. The carpeted floor was spiked with stains from the Vietnam war era. There was a water puddle on the bathroom floor. Obviously, this room was marked as cleaned but not inspected. I felt sick to my stomach. When I returned to the front desk for a refund I was told that the Task Manager would not answer her phone and that I needed to call her the next day to discuss a refund. Really!! Stay as far away as you can from the Extended Stay hotel. It’s your worst nightmare!!!

Before coming to the Sorrento Valley Extended Stay, I read both positive and negative reviews. But, I must say that the stay was so much better than those negative reviews. The location is just a bit off the I-5 and 805, and maybe 15 minutes to the I-15. Great location for getting around. Although there is coffee in the lobby in the morning, we like to bring our own maker. Several big grocery stores not far away that allowed us to plan for most meals in our room with the refrigerator and stove top burners. We might suggest a regular check on the burners, but a housing staff came to help us quickly to get both burners working. The room set up is comfortable. We had our dog and could walk him in the quiet neighborhood area easily. People seemed to respect others by using the poop bags and throwing away. We stayed on the back side of the hotel and found it very quiet. As we had reserved two rooms with persons arriving at different times, the desk staff were very attentive and made every effort to get us as close to each other as possible. There are kitchen supplies, but sometimes they inventory might be a bit lower if sold out. The kitchen is great, but it might not hurt to bring a few supplies from home if you can. Overall, I would recommend this Extended Stay for helpful staff, overall comfort, and great location, with ability to cook your own meals.

I was surprised at the condition of this hotel. Very old and not cleaned well at all. My feet were black after walking out of the shower. There was no shampoo and only one bar of soap in the bathroom. The beds were not comfortable and it felt very humid in the room even with the air on. I will not stay here again.

Overall it was a pleasant stay. The only complaint was they do not automatically supply shampoo or conditioner. You have to go to the front desk and ask for them. Which I did not figure out until after my shower. I realize it is an extended stay and probably most people bring their own. I know I use to, but with so many hotels now a days having the big bottles affixed to the shower walls, I forgot to bring a small bottle from home. Oh well if I stay there again I will remember to bring Shampoo. It was just an overnight stay, and it was fine.

Les points faibles : Services et équipements
The room was very basic and definitely no-frills. It took quite a while to figure out how to get the A/C working. I tried calling the front desk for help, but the call went straight to voicemail. I eventually discovered the issue was the breaker on the power cord. There were no outlets near the nightstand, which made it impossible to use my CPAP machine or charge my phone next to the bed. There was also a lack of pillows, so I was glad we brought our own. The room did not have shampoo, and the shower amenities were lacking as well. If I had been staying more than one night, I would have been much more disappointed. That said, if you’re simply looking for a bed to sleep in for the night, it will get the job done.

Great place with super easy and convenient parking! Everything was very nice and the room had pretty much anything you could need, even a nice table to eat at which was suprising and welcome. The beds were uncomfortable due to the stiffness of the mattress but not bad enough that I couldn't sleep lol I would definitely stay again! Great place :)
