The main house was beautiful and huge. We were able to walk to just about everything. The location is fantastic but the street sweepers and delivery trucks to the restaurant can get pretty noisy between 3 and 5am.

Overall great stay! I was told at time of booking that the Carriage House was connected through the patio, via the doorway - however, when we checked in I realized that door was connected to the garage. The master bedroom shower was lukewarm at best throughout the entire stay. Otherwise, such a great property!

The house was awesome! Very clean and the host was very helpful when we were having issues with the door code upon arrival. The house is in a great location. We parked our cars when we arrived and did not moved them until we left.

Southern Roots

The property is beautifully appointed. The kitchen has all the essential basics. The neighborhood is great, very walkable to River Street and lots of food options. The lighting in the master bathroom is a bit dim, so pack a travel lighted mirror if you plan for glam. Getting into the garages in the alley is a tight fit, so no large SUVs or trucks. We experienced a minor roof leak during our stay, due to torrential rains. Property management was quick to respond.

The Good, The Bad and First World Problems

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Good: The main house was well appointed and beautiful. We spent alot of time in the house playing games and hanging out. There were 8 of us and the house was the perfect size. I liked that they provided alot of stuff that most rentals do not (hand soap, toilet paper, garbage bags, etc). The location of the house could not be beat, we walked everywhere! The team at Lucky Savannah were incredible and super responsive when we had questions or concerns. The Bad:We were totally blindsided by the fact that the carriage house is not part of the "estate" and since we were a group of women, nobody was willing to walk through the alley or a side street to get to the apartment. It would be fine if it were a couple using it but we never used it and 2 women slept on sofas so that nobody had to walk at night.First World Problems: We used the pool outside alot but it doesn't look like the picture. There was a hose that ran to the pool (definite trip hazard) and some sort of apparatus that rested at the top of pool. The wall of greenery is half dead and there were tons of dead leaves that we kept having to skim out. The garage is also a huge issue.

Bachelorette party

This property was great. Only a few exceptions. The first is the code for getting in. It’s tricky as the same code doesn’t work for all the doors. And there is three different doors. So that was rough but the management company was fantastic and helped when I called. The only other thing is “the pool” is more like a glorified hot tub…which was great for us. But need a good skimming from trees and bugs and stuff. I was able to do a little of that myself. Not a huge deal. But overall, this house is gorgeous. I would definitely stay here again. Location was awesome. The coffee shop on the corner was fantastic.

The perfect home for your stay in Savannah!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an incredible time at the Southern Roots Estate for my bachelorette party. The home is perfectly decorated, in fantastic condition, and spacious and comfortable for all of our guests. Many of the girls told me this was the nicest rental property they've ever stayed in (and I agree!). The Lucky Savannah team was very responsive when we had a hiccup with the door code and it was so easy to store our luggage at their office before and after our stay. The location could not be more perfect - we didn't have to take a single Uber the entire weekend. One thing to note is the Carriage House is a completely separate entrance from the main house. It wasn't clear to us from the listing, but it still worked out great.Thank you so much, Lucky Savannah, for an incredible weekend! We will definitely be back!

Our Savannah Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, this was a great trip, and the location was awesome. Very cool house, close to everything, and the carriage house was a bonus. We had several couples, and some preferred a bit more privacy, which the carriage house provided. The property was very well appointed and had a modern, upscale feel. The only bummer: parking is tricky if you have anything other than a mid-size vehicle. Even mid-size was touch-and-go. And a street or a parking garage can be a bit expensive. The pool was in bad shape when we arrived. I left a message, but never heard back from anyone. It was apparent that when we'd return from a day of excursions, someone had attempted to rectify it, but never to the point where we felt comfortable using it. As mentioned, there was no reassurance or follow-up after my call. The last issue was that several electrical outlets in the bathrooms were inoperable. My wife had to use an en-suite of our guests to blow-dry and use curlers. The staff was excellent from booking to check-in assistance, which is why I thought it was weird when I didn't hear back after my last call. With all this being said, none of this was a deal breaker, and we'd be happy to stay in this house again, and use Lucky Savannah for this or other property. We had a great time!

Great stay... with a few things to note

This is a beautiful property, well appointed, with everything you need for a special stay. I won't hesitate to stay there again. But, a few things you should note:1. The management company, Lucky Savannah, will send you a link 2 days before your stay. Check this out as soon as you get the link. Good information, but it's organized in a confusing way. For example, access codes to the garage were in a different place on the site than other access codes to the house. And, they left out important access codes, like the front and back door. I had to reach out to the property manager to get these. I asked if they could update the linked info, because I needed to forward it to other guests, but was told no, they couldn't change it. So, as soon as you get the link, check and make sure you have all the information you need. You don't want to be standing at the front door trying to figure out who to contact to get in.2. There must be only one HVAC unit for the main house. The upstairs bedrooms can be very hot while the main floor and master bedroom are temperate. If some of your guests are naturally hot-natured, they should absolutely not sleep on the second floor. 3. The carriage house is a perfect, extra apartment. It's very comfortable and private. However, I would not plan for young children to stay there. To access, you must leave the main house and walk around the corner to access. All in all, a great stay.
