Quite aged
We had several apartments during our stay on the island and this was the worst. Started with the challenges during the payment process. Then we tried to „park“ our luggage before the official check in but did not get any answer until an hour before the official check in. Building is located right at the Long Beach which is amazing! View and beach is great! Unfortunately there is no mosquito net on the balcony door…. So we had the keep the sliding doors closed. The were many of the small and aggressive mosquitoes and bedbugs on the sofa. I have communicated this and only got the answer that these are not bedbugs…kitchen ist sticky and in the laundry half of the equipment was not working …. so overall super happy we just had to stay 2 nights!

The challenges in the payment process really have nothing to do with us. As for as checking in early, your request was made the morning of the check-in date and was answered within 2 hours-you never responded to my correspondence, asking you what time you wanted to check in.. We had just had a guest leave and the cleaners need to have the apartment vacant so they can do their job. There are no bugs in the apartment. In the last 2 years we have had over 80 guests and none of them have given us a bad review. We are also super happy you were only there for 2 nights. We will not rent to you again.

Pristine oceanfront beach condo !
Overall stay was great ! The ocean was stunning and the sand like flour. All appliances worked well, the living area comfortable and bedrms with ensuite were good. Beach walks were so relaxing. The condo was comfortable but improvements could be: patio furniture. We had to bring the dining room chairs outside to use as there was only 2 on the porch .. these were not comfortable for long evenings outside .. and fixing the screens on the windows - we couldn’t open any windows for ocean breeze at night . Also if there was the ability to have satellite tv - this would be a plus- but the streaming tv was great to have. The “returning locals renters” were so nice to get to know and have around ! Would definitely recommend staying here.

New years break
We decided to bring our family for New Years !!! We made the right choice !!! This property has direct access from patio to a precious 5 mile beach !!! The staff that operate this property are very friendly, polite . The lead coordinator Shanta will make it all happen from daily housekeeping to dinners . The end result is I would come back and have booked again for future dates !!! Thank you team !!!

Comfortable apartment right on the beach
This property was well equipped, comfortable and in a beautiful location. The wide beach is stunning and very quiet. We enjoyed using the tennis court and the kayak on the sound side and the road was really good for running. We would be happy to stay there again.

No Betta Beach!
Owner was able to accommodate our last-minute rental and we were not disappointed. The location is amazing. This was our first time on Windemere and will definitely come back. The stunning beach is right out the back door and merely steps from the water and phenomenal pink sand beach. The beach is great for walking with a nice hard pack pink sand for miles. The 'apartments' provide an abundance of beach lounge chairs making use of the beach very convenient. No expense was spared in decorating and furnishing the unit. Very cute decor and everything we needed was supplied including towels, cooler, etc. We loved our stay!

We visited this apartment on Windemere Island over Easter break and fell in love with the area. We will definitely return. The only thing that would have made the trip better was if the owner was a member of the club on site. But that would not prevent me frim returning ti the property.

Good time
Nice place , just as advertised. Would be nice to have some direction to property though. I had a basic idea of location because I always use google earth to look at reefs near where we stay. With that said Windermere is one road so pretty hard to get lost. The only complaint we had was the house was supposed to be unlocked, upon arrival it was still locked , we had to wait about 25 minutes for someone to show up and let us in . Not the end of the world but after traveling the better part of the day , we didn’t feel like standing around and waiting. To close , and my suggestions , a little better communication on the property managers side and some instructions on what you need to do or not when leaving. Overall it was a good trip and I would not let these little details stop me from staying there again. Jk

Great Spot on Windermere Island
We spent 6 days in the apartment with another couple. Apartment is right on the beach, has fabulous views of the beach and water, a workable kitchen and bathrooms, etc. Only downer was the patio. Two rusty chairs and a rusty table wasn’t adequate for two couples. Surrounding apartments had updated outdoor soft-seating and we were jealous!

Hidden Gem Apartment and Island
If you desire a peaceful, private getaway, on a quiet, unpopulated island of paradise, this is exactly what Windermere Island provides. From the moment you pass through the security booth and gate and drive across the one lane bridge, you will not look back. Palm tree lined roads and beautiful houses, I ran this road one morning, from one end of the island to the other, amazing. The 2 bedroom apartment is in a small, quiet building, we never heard our neighbors, except to say hi. Comfortable beds and fully stocked kitchen for cooking and meal prep. The screen door is 50 feet from the sand and another 50 feet from the water, we were almost speechless enjoying our coffee on the patio with the sunrise. Walking on the powdered sugar sand for 5 miles might result in seeing 3 people, this is a hidden gem. The bay side of the island has a nice area called West Beach for sunsets, walk or take the bikes from the apartment. Local grocery stores and a local bar/restaurant were fun excursions, ten min drive. We swam and snorkeled right off the beach. The apartment has a set of comfortable beach chairs for lounging, which we pulled to the waters edge each day. Flowers and pristine tennis courts complete this property, we were so content, we made our own meals and cocktails and enjoyed the slow pace for a few days, not enough days, we will be back! Owner is great with communication and local contact LaShanta was very helpful. Highly recommend this VRBO.

This apartment has everything you need. It was clean and well appointed. Beds were comfortable and it has air conditioning, which made a big difference as we had some very warm weather. The hot water for the kitchen sink kept on cutting out, but that was a small inconvenience. Overall it is a great property and good proximity to other amenities.

A short stay, windier than usual.
The property is set along a beautiful beach. The apartments were very nice, the other guests were friendly and helpful. The kitchen was well stocked. The living spaces were mostly comfortable. The bedrooms and bedding were great. The deck space could use more comfortable furniture as we loved hanging out watching the ocean . We did have some issues with the wifi and the electrical in one of the bathrooms. When we were finally able to get a message to the owners they sent someone to help with the wifi and check out the electrical. The issues did not impact our stay .

Gorgeous Beach and very quiet
We enjoyed our time at Windermere Island. Accommodations matched the pictures. A few minor issues that Patricia was quick to resolve. The only recommendation is that the flooring appears to need to be replaced and although a very well stocked condo, they need to “refresh” many of the towels. And the sofa cover slip as it is old. …clean but time for new ones, and some minor repairs need to be made in the condo. There is also some refurbishing going on in most of the other units…so some construction items etc. that were laying around outside. Otherwise staying on Windemere island is very peaceful and the view from the condo, which is beachfront, is gorgeous. Patricia was a reliable host and also arranged for us to have some groceries delivered at my request.

We used it as a mid island base to explore both sides of the island. Harbour Island, Lighthouse Beach, Ten Bay, Ocean Hole, French Leave, etc. We would stay here again!

Fantastic Stay on Eleuthera
My wife and I tremendously enjoyed our 9 day stay here in late May - early June 2022. The property is wonderfully appointed with everything we needed -- and more -- and the furniture, furnishings, lamps etc. were all beautiful and in keeping with the scenic oceanfront setting. Patricia was very prompt, helpful, and responsive to our inquiries as was the local property manager LaShanta. Also, shortly after our initial booking, we received a most welcome call from the owner who gave us specific suggestions on how to best enjoy the island, including renting a vehicle from Dave's Car Rental. We especially enjoyed multiple visits to Lighthouse Beach at the southern tip of the island, as well as shopping for organic vegetables and fruits and fresh baked goods at Eleuthera Island Farm. The setting on Windermere Island (providing gated security) and directly on the secluded beach was ideal for long beach walks with almost no one else present. Overall, a wonderful stay!!!
