« The hotel has lots of character and the evening entertainment was simple but enjoyable. Prices for drinks was a little pricy but what you would expect in a tourist place. We had a bit of a challenge with the rooms booked into a room and it was already occupied when we walked in this happened twice then we finally found a room that was empty. The room was clean at first glance bed very comfortable. But the bathroom smelt of sewage and there was thick black water coming up through shower...

« Arrived to be given a key and parking disc , friendly but nobody overnight at a reception, big room but found it very noisy with the seagulls and road noise as single glazed windows , tap wobbly and no waste cover in shower , should have unplugged the fridge as noisy at night on and off , no plug point near the dressing table so couldn’t see when drying hair , did smell like a greasy spoon !!! »

« Very tired. Absolutely not 4*. Poor food a sandwich that literally would have cost 50p to make charged at £7.50. Private car park but they want £15/night to use it. Need to check themselves out for the amount of money they charge. »

« For context. Stayed here after a Paul Weller concert. The hotel decided the appropriate price for a small double room the night should be £259.01 (excluding breakfast). I get that they were maximising their opportunity but....at best this is a £100-£125 per night hotel. Don't know when the stair wells, corridors and bedrooms were last decorated ( 20 years ago?) - probably the same time as the stair carpets were properly cleaned to remove stains. « Chambre exiguë, à se demander si ce n'était pas une chambre de bonne reconvertie (3 m de large sur 4 m de long), eau bouillante pour la douche à 2 reprises (2 matinées de suite) : merci pour les migraines de la journée ! Pas de wifi dans les chambres : nécessité de se rendre dans les salons et à l'accueil situés au rez de chaussée pour se connecter à internet avec smartphone et pc portable. »

Smelt fresh everywhere new decor , carpets our family seaview room was big and lovely . Only thing we could say was windows need cleaning but overall great »
