Please include lighting instructions in check-in details. The entrance is pitch black, which was frightening arriving alone with luggage. Explain that the motion light activates when approaching, or provide low-level lighting.The metal bed is extremely noisy with any movement. There is no nightstand, leaving nowhere to place my phone, water, or CPAP machine except the floor.The bedding and extra linens smell stale, and one pillowcase seemed used. Please wash everything before guests arrive.The deck transition step is invisible at night, and I nearly fell twice. Please leave the spa lights on for safety. The boards beneath the spa keypad are damp and feel dangerously weak.The hot tub cover is difficult for one person to handle; a lift-assist would help. The first night it was cold, the second the seat felt slimy and the water level was too low for the jets, and the third night it was only 94F. The tub needs proper cleaning, maintenance, and temperature monitoring.I appreciate the refund for the first unusable night, but Allen and VRBO have continued delaying my refund and security deposit for 2.5 weeks after checkout. This is unacceptable.This property may suit teenagers, but adults expecting comfort, safety, and a properly maintained hot tub may be disappointed. I hope this feedback improves future guests’ experiences.
