Wir haben nach einer ungewöhnlichen Unterkunft gesucht und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die oberste Etage wo man gemütlich beisammen sitzen kann war für unsere kleine Gruppe spitze. Es muss in der Zeit wenn Polarlichter sieht bestimmt spektakulär sein. Etwa 25Min. von Selfoss entfernt. Gleich vor Ort gibt es nicht viel, aber in Selfoss gibt es verschiedene Restaurants und Einkaufmöglichkeiten.

This place was very unique and setup nicely for the space provided. We like being away from the bustle of other travellers most of all. Lots of neat sights to see fairly close to the property. Would recommend!!

This property is amazing and the host was great. An incredible use of what may have been an old grain tower as accommodations, one room per floor. It's silent and the top floor is a panoramic view of the landscape. Feels remote but is quick to Flúðir for dinner. A beautiful spot to wake up in the snow!

We loved our stay here. We rented 3 of the 4 rooms and had the top area to ourselves. This was perfect for us to get together and - on the first night - see the Northern Lights ! The property is pretty unique. All the rooms were well heated and surprisingly well equipped kitchen wise given the space available.

Highly recommend!
Staying in the tower was so unique and fun. The room was just right with just enough supplies to enjoy a hot plate dinner and glass of wine. We also were happy to have coffee for the morning. The observation area was phenomenal and allowed us to see the northern lights in the warmth of the tower.

Warm, Comfortable, and Enjoyable Stay
Really enjoyed my stay here. It's exactly as it is in the photos. Visually it's really nice and great for photos. The room was quite spacious, well laid out, and very warm and comfortable. The top floor has an observation deck which allows you to have a 360 view of the surrounding area.

Very unique property - incredible views
Easy self-check-in and parking. Thrilled to have the top apartment for the view. (another review mentioned the wind - which I actually LOVED hearing, but do note that you will hear it blow!) Could use more in the way of black-out curtains. We hung our travel towels over the glass bathroom door to help block light in mid-summer. Bed very comfortable but small. Overall great place. It's beautiful, especially the lovely sitting room at the very top. Gorgeous! Did not know there was coffee available and had made a stop to purchase, otherwise all else true to instructions. Bring your own food - plenty of dishes, hot water, great shower/bath room, etc. And so convenient to hidden lagoon and other spots!!

Overall a very unique, beautiful, cozy place to visit in Iceland! Would highly recommend! I can tell a lot of heart and consideration went into the building of this tower, with so many lovely touches in the design. I loved looking through the photo album upstairs showing the history of this building. If it wasn't so cloudy during our visit, this place would provide incredible views of the Northern Lights with so many windows in every direction. I want to warn light sleepers that in the winter the wind can become extremely noisy and it was howling/whistling all night long, so just make sure to bring your ear plugs. That being said, my husband is a heavy sleeper and he slept great and also thought the wind sounded cool. :)

Séjour atypique dans un espace bien décoré et optimisé. Tout est à notre disposition pour passer un bon séjour. Had much higher expectations. A few specific disappointments where : no window covering on bathroom window. Another guest quite possibly saw our bathroom being used. Top observation area had a smell that was not pleasant at all. Scenery of surrounding buildings not pleasing to look at. Had rain, and stairs where slippery, and no lighting for walkway leading to stairs for tower and no lighting for parking area. Whil faculty did have refrigerator, it was unplugged when we arrived and did not chill our items while we stayed. Not an aweful experience, but not a wonderful experience we were looking forward to. Disappointed and would not stay again.

Great Romantic Stay for Couples
We loved our one night stay at the Klettar Tower while traveling the Golden Circle. It's a really unique and romantic place to spend the night. The rooms (there are four total) are very modern, clean, and well laid out (especially given that the rooms are approximately 15-foot-diameter circular floorplan). Be sure to take advantage of the top floor observation room and bring a beverage to enjoy while taking in the beautiful scenery there. The rooms include a small kitchenette with sink, two burner stove, and dishes/glassware which is convenient as it is a fair distance to nearest large town (Selfoss) for dinner (so plan accordingly). Overall, a very unique and memorably enjoyable deviation from the typical hotel room.

Unique place that is perfect for couples
We really enjoyed our 1-night stay at Klettar Tower. We requested a higher floor, and this was kindly granted. This place is unique, and as others have said, so cleverly designed. Everything felt good quality and it's fantastic what they managed to squeeze into the space. It is perfect for couples.

While the hotel room itself, and the observation deck, were lovely, my husband and I were woken up at 2am by gnats crawling and biting us. We tried to swat them away and go back to sleep, but it was impossible. When we turned on the lights we found hundreds of gnats flying around the room, on the ceiling, and in the bed. It was truly a nightmare. They must've come in the window, which didn't have a screen but was open because otherwise the small room was stuffy. We could not stay there and left at 2:30am. Luckily it was light out and didn't feel like the middle of the night. It was truly a miserable experience and although I've emailed the hotel about the situation, we haven't heard back from them about it.

Dear Suvi, I am sorry about this inconvenience. Those "gnats" are typical Icelandic flies that are short lived, but because of the warming weather, their numbers increased and they appeared outside of their season. We appreciate your comment on this matter and we are looking in ways to avoid this from happening again. Again, my apologies for this, we did not expect the nature to take this course, we usually do not have a problem with these flies like this year. We hope that this has not spoiled your trip to Iceland and that you will visit our country again.
