Villa Toscana
Very short of expectations. No one there to open the villa, no tea bags, no access to safe. What is supposed to be a water feature is a filthy dirty pit full of dark brown rancid water full of mosquitoes and other insects barely 2 meters from the kids bedroom and adjacent to the kitchen. It smelt like raw sewerage and was unsafe and very unhealthy. Three toilets were in need of attention two didn’t flush which was disgusting. My wife stepped on a path light and received a mild but scary electric shock, later a child on another light same thing.The concrete pool had a makeshift vinyl liner which was crumpled and wrinkled and very uneven at the bottom. There was a rotten timber housing over the pool pump with exposed rusty nails and the pump in the water was green covered in mould. I paid good money +$15k AUD for what was to be an amazing 50th anniversary with children and grandchildren. On booking I was quoted in USD which they then converted to EU then AUD which significantly increased the cost(Refer earlier case),
housekeeping staff were good and tried to rectify situations to no avail. We have travelled to Bali a dozen times since 1997 and have never experienced anything as bad.We feel Stayz should have a better handle on the standard of accomodation you advertise. Refer my comms with host and I can provide some photos if required. Returning to Bali next year but could not recommend Stayz or Northern to any friends or business associates. Hopefully you will respond.
