The first floor of this home offers a streetside bedroom with two Queen beds, a laundry room, a full shared bathroom, and an oceanfront bedroom with a King bed. The oceanfront bedroom has access to the oceanfront deck where you can enjoy a cup of coffee in the mornings and take in the sounds of the ocean. Walk down the steps from this deck to take a stroll on the beach!
Head upstairs to the second floor and you will find the oceanfront living room that is open to the dining area and kitchen. Relax on the comfortable seating in the living room and enjoy the views of the ocean through the large sliding glass doors or head outside to the oceanfront deck and soak in the sun! The living room offers a 75” flat screen smart TV and blu ray player. The kitchen is fully equipped with the necessary tools for cooking and enjoying a homemade meal.
Just off the kitchen is the streetside master bedroom with a Queen bed. The master bedroom has a private balcony access with ocean views and shares access to a full bathroom with the living room area. All bedrooms offer a 40” flat screen smart TV for entertainment when you need a break from the sun!

Nearest Beach Access: Direct Beach Access when sandbags are not exposed Public Beach Access #47 - Port Dr & New River Inlet Rd (Other side of the house to the north of Cool Story) Pay-to-Park may be enforced at some beach accesses or public parking lots.
Please note: There are sandbags located in front of several homes along the northern end of the island, including "Cool Story", that may or may not be exposed. These sandbags are in place to prevent further beach erosion. It is important that you do not climb on the sandbags. Although beach access may not be directly in front of the property – it is a very short walk to the nearest public beach access.
Please note: There are known recording devices on the exterior of the home for security purposes.
Parking: 2 Parking Spaces in front of the home. Parking under the house is not advisable due to soft soil.

Age Requirements: You must be 25 years or older to rent this property. ID verification required prior to check in. House parties will be evicted immediately. Any group renting this property under false pretenses shall be immediately evicted with no refund.
Summer Requirements: 7-night minimum stays, Saturday Check-in/out only
TV Disclosure: Smart TVs require guests to log in with their own accounts to access subscription apps. Access credentials are not provided.
CANCELLATIONS - Any cancellation of a confirmed reservation must be made in writing by Guest. Reservation payments are not reimbursable unless the property can be re-rented for the same rate and time period less non refundable reservation fee, cancellation fee, and third-party fees. Please review our Rental Policies and Cancellation Policy.
CHECK IN DAY DETAILS - Your rental home allows you to check-in directly at the property. Check-in typically becomes available BETWEEN 4:00 - 6:00 PM on the day of your scheduled arrival. As soon as your rental is ready for check in, we will send you a text message with all of your check-in instructions. Please understand that all homes must be cleaned and inspected before we are allowed to issue access details and you are not allowed to be at the property until you have received that text message.
PREPARING FOR YOUR VACATION - All our vacation rentals include fully equipped kitchens, basic small appliances (microwaves, coffee makers, toasters), pillows, comforters/bedspreads, television(s) and more! Our vacation homes do not supply consumable items for guest use (i.e. toilet paper, paper towels, soap, spices, cleaning products, etc.). Please plan accordingly for any items you may need during your stay.
You are welcome to bring your own linens, or we provide a linens rental service for your convenience. Some homes provide complimentary linens for select dates and this detailed information can be found in the description. Linen package options include BRONZE (bed sheets only per bed listed), SILVER (bed sheets per bed listed, a bath towel set per occupancy, dish towel, and a bath mat per shower/tub), and GOLD (all items from the SILVER package plus one extra bath towel per occupancy).
TOPSAIL ISLAND GENERAL INFO - WiFi: WiFi signal strength is NOT guaranteed at your rental for remote work or remote learning. We are located on a barrier island and do not have cellular towers on the island. This, coupled with the increase of guests in our area, creates an inconsistent cellular signal that is outside of our control and therefore, compensation is NOT given.
Beach Nourishment: Beach nourishment projects help preserve and protect Topsail Island's shoreline. Most projects are scheduled annually between November and April and may involve large pipes on the beach, trucks moving sand, and other equipment to rebuild and maintain our dunes. Timelines and locations can shift without notice, and we are not always informed in advance. While we understand this may impact your beach experience, refunds or compensation will not be provided for disruptions related to beach nourishment. For the latest updates, we recommend checking the town websites for Topsail Beach, Surf City, or North Topsail Beach. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions about potential beach impacts during your stay.
Water Pressure Notice: Please be aware that during popular rental dates, especially in the mornings and evenings, there may be temporary reductions in water pressure. This is a common occurrence across the island as many visitors are getting ready for the day or returning from the beach. We recommend planning showers and other water-related activities accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
Public Parking: The Town of Surf City enforces “Pay to Park” from March 1-Oct 31 from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm in the Surf City Public Beach Access Parking Lots and other marked Public Parking Lots. The Town of North Topsail Beach will enforce “Pay to Park” from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM year-round. Onslow County operates three public parking areas/beach accesses within the Town of North Topsail Beach. To the best of our knowledge the county intends to continue operating these lots free of charge.
Leave No Trace: Topsail Island enforces a "Leave No Trace" policy in order to protect our shoreline, meaning you must remove all items, including tents and chairs, from the beach each day. Any items left behind are subject to theft, removal by the town, or possibility of being washed away by the ocean.
Turtle Nesting Season: From May to October, Topsail Island is a nesting ground for sea turtles. Be mindful of marked nests, limit oceanside deck lights, and follow local guidelines to protect them.

Virtually everything was new or close to new, superbly maintained, and perfectly clean.. Top grade appliances that all worked well. Extremely well furnished and comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer!

This property was wonderful! It's was clean. The kitchen had everything you needed. The large showers were an added bonus. Nice furniture. Uninterrupted Wi-Fi service. It was the perfect place!!
