Getting around South Padre Island is simple and convenient.

◆ The free Island Metro shuttle runs along South Padre Island and is a convenient way to explore without a car.

◆ For added flexibility, many guests choose to bring or rent a vehicle. Free onsite parking for up to 2 vehicles is available at Sea Vista.

◆ The island is small and easy to navigate. Restaurants, shops and attractions are concentrated along Padre Boulevard and are generally within a 5- to 10-minute drive or shuttle ride.

◆ Brownsville/South Padre Island International Airport (BRO) is the closest commercial airport. We recommend allowing approximately 30 to 45 minutes for the drive, depending on traffic.

◆ McAllen International Airport (MFE) is approximately 1.5 hours away.
