« This used to be a hunting lodge so it looks exactly like a lodge, with lots of wood. It is by the loch with a magnificent view from the restaurant terrace. Unfortunately no lift to go upstairs so it was a bit difficult for my wife. The restaurant food was good but seemed pre-prepared so they can’t adjust the dishes. « Our original room, The Robert Burns Siute, was dark, and faced the road with a view of the dumpsters. After complaining immediately to the manager, he booked us into room 2, Mary Queen of Scott’s, a beautiful room facing the loch with breath-taking views. Heated floors in the bathroom, a comfortable king bed and excellent service rounded out our experience. The loud 1970s music blaring during our adequate dinner was unpleasant though. »
