First of all we could not believe how much St. George has changed. We were there14 years ago and it was still a small town, now it is a huge city. The Red Lion was conveniently on a main road, close to restaurants, looked good when we arrived - they even offered breakfast with our stay. We were arriving late, so I wanted to call ahead to let the staff now that we were still coming. It was impossible to talk to the hotel. Only automated services and full mail was reachable - no live person to talk to. When we got there late the receptionist lady was nice, kind and helpful, also asked for $100 extra deposit per rooms - which is normal - I guess, she said they'd return the deposits next day when we leave. We checked out early on April 25. Today is May 9th -10 business days later ! -and the deposits still have not been returned to our account. I contacted them- only via e-mail - there is no other way to talk to this hotel chain - and they said the they "will follow up " on it. Also about breakfast: I suppose we did not read carefully about breakfast time. We arrived 5 min later and the server was already packing everything away, we got no breakfast, she said there was coffee at the reception area - which was true. The hotel itself is not bad, there is an indoor-outdoor pool, rooms are nice, clean and big - but these small inconveniences are the reason that I'd never go back.
