Not sure if we got there at a bad time, but the whole town was full of flying little black bugs. This made it hard to enjoy anything about the area. The hotel itself is great. Very comfortable and clean, and truly the bug issue was very much out of the hotel’s control, but still affects the experience.

As soon as you walked into the hotel it stunk. Dead flies all over by the entrance, some one could of swept them up. "Carlos" that checked us in was very rude. We had requested a lake side room, nothing was ready he said, pool was dirty and when I walked back to the desk to tell him we couldn't get teh hot tub to work, he said "I'm alone, what do you want me to do about it? When he figured out I wasn't taking that answer he went to the hot tub, called someone and got it going and just left. Said nothing! Never will stay there again.

It was clean but if it’s not check in time the front desk employees are hiding in a room behind the desk. Also if you book o. Expedia you do not get Hilton points for your stay. The front desk staff said this is just the way it works.

The property is very clean, modern and very well located right on the lake. The personnel were very friendly and helpful. They have many amenities that I didn't visit but sound really great especially the game room. All these activity rooms are located below the sleeping area. Breakfast was quite good with lots of options. Will return.

We had an incredible stay here with family for a mini-spring break getaway. The views are unbeatable, everything was clean and comfy, and we lived in the pool and outdoor hot tub. We had easy access to downtown st ignace and even ventured to Mackinac City for some great Mexican food. Do not sleep on St. Ignace in the off-season!! This was our second stay here this winter and we are already planning on coming back again!

Hampton needs to get in line with Hotels.com. Upon check-in I let the desk know that we had our dog with us. The attendant was kind of a little flippant and was doing stuff on the computer. Then, after 3-4 min, just told me to put my debit card in the reader for $75. I asked if this was for the pet fee or what? He then proceeded to tell me he almost had to cancel our check-in and went on and on about it. So I paid the $75. Then when we were checking out today, I had to pay yet another $218 because I was being told the card I paid with declined. So I paid that. The card I paid with initially had the room amount deducted, so I essentially paid over $500 for a room that wasnt very comfortable, breakfast was mediocre, and I felt like a hassle to the staff. I didn't feel like we were very welcome there at all.

I booked a room for myself and 4 children. The room that was assigned to us was great! It was very roomy with a king size bed, a set of bunk beds, and a pull-out sleeper couch. The room was immaculate and free of stains & repairs. The kids loved the kitchenette. Everything was very user-friendly and allowed them to be self-sufficient in making their own snacks. I was able to connect my Netflix account to the hotel tv so we could watch a movie before bed. Only two downsides was the view. Our room was right over the hotel’s main entrance so we had the backside of the lit-up awning as our view, which was quite boring. But the breakfast area and outdoor patio opened up to a beautiful view of the lake. We never had time to visit the pool or arcade. Also, we woke up too late to sample the continental breakfast to know how it rated. I would definitely stay at this location again, maybe try to get a lakeside room next time. The hotel is on the main drag but further down the road, away from all the restaurants and Shepler’s Ferry, it was very peaceful without any road noise.
