This was our 3rd year at Madeira Beach but first stay at Arie Dam. Overall, condo was very nice. It was clean but still a lot of sand on the floor that I had to sweep up with a hand broom. Also balcony floor was filthy. Couldn’t walk on it without shoes. My son’s feet were black.
Check in was a breeze. All we had to do was enter the codes. However, on the second day the lock began malfunctioning. We were locked out for over an hour before finally getting in. It took after hours service 1 1/2 hrs to call us back. They said someone would be out first thing in the morning to check it, but he didn’t get there until 12:30. He changed the batteries and left. Didn’t even make sure it was functioning properly, which it wasn’t. I had to call again and they sent someone out. Turns out you have to hold the handle as you enter the code. Definitely needs fixed. Beds were comfortable and there is an incredible view! Location was not our favorite as it’s sandwiched in between a very cheap hotel and public access. Pool was nice but no outdoor grilling area available. Lobby and elevators were nice. We had no trouble waiting ever. Carts were available in lobby to take groceries up which was very nice. Overall, I would stay here again but it would not be my first choice.
