Walk home from the mountain (or hop on board the free winter shuttle) each afternoon to survey the spectacular landscape on the large private deck, grab a warm pair of socks or a swimsuit from the washer/dryer, and take advantage of community amenities that include a heated pool, hot tubs, a firepit, a fitness center, a steam room, and massage services. In the winter, you'll have 18 ski lifts, 169 trails, and 2,965 acres of skiable terrain at your fingertips, including the gladed areas of Pioneer Ridge and Sunshine and Storm Peaks. Use the winter shuttle to reach the slopes or a variety of shopping, dining, and nightlife, or walk to Village Drive to find Iron Waffle and Coffee Co., the wonderful neighborhood store WildPlum, and Steamboat BrauHaus. When the summer sun is shining, you can take strolls through the Yampa River Botanic Park (two miles northwest) or ride your bike along the famous Yampa River Core Trail, a 7.5-mile, paved path that runs through the heart of Steamboat Springs.
