Wonderful Place! The views were amazing. There were so many animals to see. The beach at Stokes Bay is within walking distance and it is GREAT. I hope to come back soon.

We had a wonderful stay at Waves and Wildlife at Stokes Bay, Kangaroo Island. The accommodation is set in a beautiful, peaceful location, aptly named for its stunning coastal surroundings and abundance of wildlife. It's also conveniently located close to the spectacular Stokes Bay Beach and the lovely Rockpool Café. Paul and Katja were warm and welcoming hosts who communicated with us throughout the booking process and made us feel right at home. One of the highlights of our stay was the kangaroo feeding experience. Being surrounded by these gentle, inquisitive animals and having the opportunity to interact with them up close was truly special. We also loved watching the kangaroos grazing around our accommodation, particularly in the soft light of the early morning and evening. The setting is wonderfully tranquil, with beautiful views and a real sense of being immersed in nature. The sunsets were nothing short of spectacular. It was the perfect place to unwind after exploring the island. Waves and Wildlife offers a uniquely Kangaroo Island experience, combining natural beauty, abundant wildlife and genuine hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return!

The property was very clean, excellently equiped and very comfortable! Views of Stokes Bay were fantastic and the wildlife was plentiful and very friendly. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Amazing to wake up each day with kangaroos outside your door. All the facilities one needs to have a nice quiet vacation. Wonderfully responsive and friendly hosts.

We had a wonderful stay and can recommend to all generation to visit Kangaroo Island and stay over in the very comfortable cottage of Katja and Paul. They are so friendly, supporting and take the time to make sure you are feeling welcome and comfortable.

Paul, Katja and Poppy made us welcome from the moment we arrived, and the experience was more than we expected. The cabin we stayed in had spectacular views and an abundance of wildlife visiting us at the cabin. A great experience. Highly recommend anyone to book a few days if you want to get away, experience nature, relax and enjoy the surroundings, including a beach cove. Its also a great place to access all attractions on the island or if you want to just have a spot to stay and relax. We will definitely be coming back. Rob & Cindy A

Stokes Bay, and thus the cabins, is isolated. Situated on the cliff face, looking north, one is surrounded by silence and peace, mixed with dozens of kangaroos and even some sheep. Nearby is the only restaurant, sadly open only till 5 pm; so bring your own food or consider a drive to Kingcote (sadly with roo-danger for the nightly return. We stayed three nights to have a holiday… make daytime excursions and enjoy evenings at the cabin. Highly recommended, but not if you expect action!

Excellent emplacement au milieu des kangourous

Excellent emplacement pour cette hôtel au bord d’une falaise sur la mer et entourée de kangourous. Bungalows spacieux de trois chambres et un salon cuisine. Les enfants notamment ont adoré pouvoir nourrir les kangourous. Accueil sympathique avec œufs,miel et chocolat. Pas de wi fi mais réception réseau portable.

What a great little hideaway from reality! The nature and surrounds were just incredible. Great little cottage although our stove and oven didn't work well or at all on some occasions, and this proved a little difficult as there are no surrounding cafes or restaurants. I completely understand its been a tough few years for all though. We would definitely return. Many thanks Katja and Paul, you are wonderful hosts.

What a stunning experience! I loved waking up to so many kangaroos and dragonflies each morning, walking down to the beach and having a coffee at the rockpool cafe. Paul & Katja were great hosts and the self contained unit was just perfect for our needs. I would definitely recommend!

We liked it very much for the location n wanted to give 5 star as everything was so ready/provided. But 2 issues I have to mention, the toilet lock was not working/ in useable and the windows blinds- all are broken . The towels are very old too, Need to change ASAP. And the second issue was the smell from the swears. We stayed at number 7 and the bio swear system is just 30 metres away… every evening probably all the units using the shower and toilet then the smell comes out. Please don’t stay at number 7. Other than that all the cutleries, pots , pans , plate , glass everything is Perfect. Giving 3 out of 5 but we Will come here again.

Fabulous view and out of the way. Just how we like it. The name depicts accurately this little gem. Waves and wildlife in abundance. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Great value for money.
