« This house has been newly renovated and was very cozy for our family of 5. The location worked very well for all that we wanted to do in Boone and West Jefferson. Found some great spots for food including: Third Day Kitchen (great views and serene) and the Dough Shed (immaculate restaurant that had a fabulous, well stocked buffet even in late afternoon). We were there in a bit of a heat wave and did find the lack of central AC a little hard and the multitude of newly installed light switches...

« The layout of the house was beyond awesome. It was able to accommodate our family very well. Since we were celebrating Christmas and I communicated that with the owner, he put a tree up for us. It was absolutely perfect. The only thing that I see that needs an improvement is some new mattresses in some of the bedrooms. »

« We could have sat rocking on the porch forever. The weather was perfect as we watched the sunset, with a mother deer and fawn in the grass below. The hot tub, fire pit, grill, and table also made it nice to be outside. Inside was plenty of space for our family with a large kitchen and two family rooms. There were many sweet touches, such as a 4th of July themed basket and cozy pillows and blankets. The owners were very responsive and great hosts. We would love to stay again, although in winter...

Just show up with what you want to put in the fridge, and pick a spot to relax. That's the hard part, because there are so many good relaxing spots here! »

« The property was as perfect place for our quick trip to the mountains. Near Blowing Rock and App Ski Mountain. The house was clean and easy to access. We liked using the outdoor fire pit on the cold evening. We loved the house and will be back in the future. »
