Sadly trouble with back door and front door locks
Unable to lock back door throughout stay ! So no trips out ,no walks,no visiting family! Afraid to leave property unlocked ! My daughter came over on Boxing Day and she could not lock the door . Property otherwise was great but this lack of maintenance ruined our break .Also front door key very hard to get in lock ! This property needs a lock smith urgently .Texted owner as we about to leave early today to advice back door unlocked but no reply to our message as per 4 pm today …we left at 8.20 this morning which is time of message . All in all a miserable Xmas .

This visitor says they were housebound during the entirety of their stay due to faulty locks on both front and back doors. They made this complaint on their departure, not once did they contact me regarding their difficulty with the doors during their stay. My cleaner after they had gone checked the doors at my request, she found no fault, I visited the next day and found no fault. I cannot understand how anyone can feel themselves unable to leave a property because they can't lock the doors without contacting the owner. Had they done this I would have responded immediately with a visit to the property. There has been no issue from any other guests in this regard.

Clean and great access to coastal path
Best suited to couple with children due to the bunk beds, but we knew this prior to booking. Limeslade is above the Mumbles proper, but still a great location. We were fortunate enough to enjoy the last of the roses. Very nice to unpack with the lovely scent. Appreciated that there was salt and pepper provided, and some sweets, very nice touch. We didn’t have to add to the electric meter. No big deal to bring our bath towels, smaller ones provided. Mumbles is the furthest east of the Gower Peninsular so it was nice to bypass that in order to get to all the other great places to explore. I do recommend this charming bungalow, and it was equipped for everything reasonably expected to make simple meals. However bring a sharp knife as I always do!!!

A bit disappointing
The bungalow is actually in Limeslade, not Mumbles. The shortest walk into town (10 mins) isn't obvious and is v steep. The place was very clean, bed comfy and with nice garden seating areas. However it is hemmed in by other houses, so you hear all the neighbours. There wasn't enough crockery or kitchen knives (1 plus bread knife) and wasn't stocked for real cooking. Other items were well supplied, such as loo rolls, kitchen towel, cleaning materials. Bedding is provided, but not bath towels, I'm not sure why? We found the £15 electricity credit adequate, but one wouldn't in winter. There were useful maps and leaflets, but no instructions for TV, Smart speaker, Cooker or Air Fryer. I texted the owner with a minor issue, but got no response.

A very disappointing review. The address sent to visitors makes clear the property is in Limeslade which is part of Mumbles. The other issues raised we will address. It is very important to us that visitors enjoy their stay at Gower Bungalow and great effort is made to that end. We always respond immediately to visitor concerns or queries. On this occasion I apologise to the visitor but I have no record of him having sent me a text.

Bungalow fine and had all mod cons We were lucky with weather but not quite warm enough to sit on patio which was a good thing as there were builders there every morning in a neighbouring house which overlooked our view - I understand building work had to happen but I would not have felt comfortable sat there with the workmen - great walks with dog once we had established best beaches - of which there are many Could do with maybe a Places to Visit / Pubs etc in the bungalow - we did manage but think it’s a useful thing to have a bit of What to do / Whereto go in places we stay Would go back to this area and bungalow - stunning scenery

Comfortable bungalow near beautiful coast and countryside
We spent two comfortable weeks in the Gower Coast bungalow, particularly enjoying the sunny conservatory and outside seating area with it's view of Mumbles Hill. The location is excellent being near to beautiful beaches (Caswell Bay was our favourite), and lots of cliff top or woodland walks. Mumbles and Swansea were close by for our very few rainy days. Favourite finds for us were the National Botanic Garden of Wales (1 hour away) and the Wildlife and Wetland Trust centre near Llanelli (three quarters of an hour's drive). We will definitely be returning to Gower as there were places we hadn't time to visit this trip.

Our stay at Gower Coast bungalow
Small but adequate. However we were not made aware that electricity was on a meter as this information was not apparent on the details provided by VRBO. In addition the parking was very tight and it was lucky we had a small car to ‘bump’ up on to the hardstanding. It would not be possible to park a large car on the space. The road leading to Westcliff Mews is unmade so you need to avoid a number of potholes. The ice box to the fridge was faulty and this was mentioned to the owner when she advised a new washing machine was to be fitted during our stay. Finally there was a general lack of information on the bungalow including when rubbish was collected and where as well as usual info on local amenities.

I’m very sorry that this person could not it seems find one nice thing to say about the bungalow or their two week stay there. A legitimate comment regarding the electric meter information of which was not deliberately withheld and has now been added. Visitor failed to acknowledge that there was a very generous full credit of electric on the meter on their arrival. I park a Fiat 500L on the parking space with absolutely no problems at all. The road leading to the bungalow is not my responsibility. With regards to general information the bungalow is provided with free WiFi and I find this the better way to give immediate up to date information on pretty much anything required. I very much welcome constructive criticism and where possible do all I can to rectify any problems, however on this occasion I feel the criticism unfair.

Perfect in every way!
Lovely bungalow at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with secluded garden with decking and patio. Well equipped in the kitchen with crockery/cutlery/pans etc although we ate out most of the time. Lovely to find a bottle of wine, sweets and crisps on our arrival. Comfortable furniture both inside and out. We had fantastic weather for our week away so what little time we spent at the bungalow we were sat outside. The property is just opposite a coastal path walk which was ideal and many beautiful beaches within short driving distance. We will definitely return again.

Beautiful Gower!
The chalet was in an excellent position for dricing onto the Gower peninsular, the beaches and local amenities. It was a comfortable bungalow albeit a little on the cool side due to not much heating during a cold snap. It has a lovely roomy kitchen and lounge area with a small conservatory area with a dining table.

Lovely to be here
We very much enjoyed staying here at the bungalow - a lovely place, stylish and thoughtfully furnished, with everything we needed. We appreciated finding a dish of chocolates when we arrived, with wine and crisps, and also tea, coffee, and sugar in the kitchen - lovely and welcoming. It was great to visit our family and enjoy the coastal walks - we hope to come again soon. Thank you Paula for a great place to stay.

Cozy
What had been a nice weekend despite the "mini beast from the east" was ruined by the owner arriving and knocking on the door at 9.50am to see if we had vacated - I had noticed her car parked outside before 9.30am. Whilst I appreciate the vacate time was 10,00am, we were actually tidying up the property as we believe in leaving places as we find them. The owner came into the property. so was aware we were clearing up, and then left to wait in her car. At 10.01am A CAR HORN WAS HONKED presumably to chivvy us along, so we rushed and dumped everything in our car leaving the property at 10.08am. The owner has sent an email to apologise stating she was under time constraints, however not impressed with a reminder at 1 minute past the hour and a car horn being honked when we were saving her some time. Perhaps a little more patience and thought required. Won't be booking here again!

I am of course very disappointed in this review. We go to enormous trouble to make our property a pleasant and enjoyable experience. It is true that I did speak to the visitors before their departure and felt our exchange was friendly and polite. When I returned to my car to give them some space to finish clearing up and packing I ACCIDENTALLY leant on the steering wheel making a very short single beep. This was explained to the visitors however it would seem that my explanation of this mishap on my part was not believed. The response to this genuinely unintended mishap is I feel very harsh indeed. I do note however that although when speaking with the visitors (immediately prior to the accidental beep) they complimented on how lovely the bungalow was. The 1 star review is entirely based on a misunderstanding on the part of the visitor not on the quality of accommodation.

staying with our labrador
my wife and I had a very peaceful 3 night stay in April. Lovely dog-friendly area, with lovely cliff path and beach walks, and local restaurants and pubs were often very welcoming to us and our labrador. The cottage was quiet and comfortable, and we were fortunate to have early morning sunshine for breakfast in the conservatory, even though the wind outside was very chilling. We didn't cook for ourselves, but it looked as though the kitchen was very well equipped had we needed to.
