Perfect Mountain Retreat

Most cozy mountain rental we’ve stayed in this area so far! We loved the layout and enjoyed all the little extras that were provided. We felt so welcome! We planned for the night and just needed a quiet retreat on our long drive. This was more lovely than we anticipated! Appliances are easy to use. We enjoyed laughing and sharing good times on the chairs out on the back patio. Highly recommend for anyone needing a great stay tucked into the mountainside.

Beautiful stay

We traveled from Minnesota to Georgia for our daughter’s wedding and stayed here with our family. The place was exactly as described—clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was the perfect home base for such a special occasion. We truly appreciated how well-maintained and well-equipped everything was. Highly recommend!

I would stay here a 100 times over!!! The property cant be explainer in words, its BEAUTIFUL! There are directions to everything and gow to use it. The hosts are lovely. And i would HIGHLY reccomend if your wanting a moutain cabin experience! Will be coming to stay again in the fall!!!!

Thank you for the welcoming stay. Communication was easy, and the check-in process flawless. This property was a delight to stay in. It was exactly as pictured and very clean. Beautiful setting

We were only there flr one night but we really enjoyed the stay. Beautiful cottage in the woods. Very well maintained. Our son was starting the Appalachian Trail and it was a great place to spend night before hitting the trail.

Amazing memories made

Decided to take my Florida boys for a dad camp week into tbe mountains. So myself and 4 boys ages 8 through 10 found this amazing cabin and headed north. We enjoyed numerous adventures from river tubing to hiking, the cider store to swimming in creeks etc. The majority of things were fairly close and we had a great time with numeorus memories made. The gold mine was quite the experience both educational and fun. I highly recommend that for the mine as well as gold panning a d gem mining. The property was very clean and comfortable and we enjoyed numerous fire nights and hot tub relaxes. We even got to see a family of bears come hang out on the driveway. 10 out of 10 for us and we will be back!!!!

Great Location and Wonderful Accomodations!

Nestled in the woods between Ellijay and Amicacola Falls, this beautiful cabin is the place to stay. Very quiet and private area with a large hot tub and two porches, one screened in. It was always a welcome sight after a long day of hiking and wine tasting. Kitchen is stocked with plenty of cutlery, pots and pans. Already thinking about a return visit in the future!

Wonderful Cabin ❀

This is a fantastic home/cabin. We had our family of four, with two kids and also my husband's mother and her husband and we l loved White Stag! The house is in a great area, safe and in a great location. The view is beautiful out the back of the house. The house is perfectly decorated and the pictures felt very accurate. The hot tub and back deck where wonderful too! After a horrible rental experience elsewhere I was so nervous to try a house rental and now I'm hooked. We can't wait to hopefully stay here again some day. We traveled all the way from Minnesota and had the best time. 😀

Perfect place to relax in the woods!

White Stag Retreat is exactly as depicted in their listing and exceeded my expectations overall! It feels super secluded though with other homes in the area, you don't feel totally isolated. The road is paved and accessible but it is a mountain type situation...narrow and a couple of steep inclines. The view in late winter is beautiful. The home is perfect and has everything needed for a relaxed or active vacation. Amazingly clean and great thought put in to every detail. I traveled with my greyhound and while she is a very anxious dog, she seemed to relax quickly too. The bed was comfortable and the bathrooms were well appointed. The kitchen had every thing youd need to create a great meal including dessert! The hot tub is on the lower level with its own great view. Great lighting and very relaxing. Communication with the owners was amazing from before my reservation and all the way through. I had a serious scare in the first half hour after locking myself out without a phone. Thankfully between the Ring doorbell and my smart watch, Geoff was able to help. He was quick to recognize that there was a problem and found a great solution! The location is great with Ellijay only 15 to 20 minutes down the hill and Blue Ridge about 30 min away. Lots of trails in the area from easy to strenuous. Good shopping and easily accessible groceries and pharmacies. Geoff and Ashley have put so much thought into what people might need while on vacation. The White Stag Retreat delivers it all. From the right amount of towels, a coffee/tea bar, snacks, dog treats, food bowls and bed, to the wonderfully put together information book...everything was perfect. We hope to return !

This cabin is absolutely perfect!! So darling and from the hot tub to the swings on the porch and the enclosed porch

Great quiet getaway!

Very clean, quiet, and a perfect getaway from daily life! Our dogs enjoyed their stay as well, all the amenities were perfect, communication was easy, and we would definitely come back again! Close to a lot of dog friendly hikes and the town of Elijay had great food options, everyone seemed friendly! 10/10 recommend

The best cabin we have ever rented. The host thought of everything and added some personal touches. The cabin is beautifully furnished and in a great location...convenient to Wineries, Elijay, Apple markets, Amicalola falls, etc. Highly recommend!
