The location was great, and check-in was easy. The owner provided pretty thorough rules, which was nice. The house was large and had a nice back deck.
I would be lying, though, if I said we didn't have our share of issues with the house. The oven was broken and didn't work, which caused major problems because we had already made food to put in the oven. The owner told us to use the toaster oven, which was absolutely not sufficient.
The grill had two empty propane tanks, so we had to drive down the mountain to go exchange one of them, which took time, energy, and money. The owner reimbursed us after quite a bit of chasing.
Other than that, the house is sort of in a state of disrepair. Neither bathroom has a fully functioning shower head, the one downstairs is missing tiles, and there has clearly been significant leaking through the roof. I wish more care had been paid to the property, especially given what we're paying for a few days' stay.
Even with all the negatives, it was still enjoyable. Great location and easy access to lots of hiking.
