I would not stay here again. I travel to Taos often with my kids. First night did laundry after traveling for days, washer was fine but dryer didn’t work. Also the small BR for kids had a gas heater with pilot light but was the only room with no carbon monoxide detector. I messaged the number listed on the giant sign in the kitchen. After an hour no response, messaged the number that sent the door code, got an auto “you are the top priority” response. Tried VRBO app and got more canned responses. Next morning called a new number, got a human and was told the local mgmt was notified and would be in touch. Basically my week was trying to get some attention… 3 days later a maintenance staff came, said needed new parts but had to be authorized and would be in touch. Never got contacted again. No compensation offered for my time and money wasted going to the laundromat twice (no brunch for you kids!), buyin my own carbon monoxide detector (and cutting board) at 10:45 pm, and trying to contact/document the problems. Also found dried mouse poop in the sugar- clearly old so not a recent infestation - but ick! It’s a nice old adobe in a great location, but it’s not well managed. I’ll never rent from Vacasa again and will stick to properties directly managed by owners.
