We had an excellent stay at this property. The location is excellent and the property was clean and as advertised. Would highly recommend this house to others!
I paid 25,228.99 for our family of 12.Lovely views & great location however the furnishings are dated & uncomfortable. Kitchen is dated & appliances should be replaced. The fridge completely broke while we were there, I had to place groceries in the garage & on patio. Replacement fridge was delivered next day but it was a small one placed in garage, still no icemaker. We had to reschedule activities so we could be there for the handyman/repairman. The host advised that we could leave the house open, we weren't comfortable with that as we had cash & valuables in the house.Very inconvenient. The sound system is an outdated intercom & should be replaced with bluetooth compatible speakers. There aren't enough humidifiers for all the bedrooms. Towels & linens were poor quality & chipped dishes/cups should be replaced. Shower in upstairs guest room leaks into office below. We had to move couch and place containers to catch the water & that couple had to shower elsewhere. I sent a video to the Pp Mgr. Again, very inconvenient. The property manager was quick to respond to our issues and Dial A Ride was a plus but our overall experience was not positive. In reading the older reviews, it appears that many of the issues we encountered were in existence several years ago and have not been addressed. I expected more for what we paid and would like for a portion of our rental fee to be refunded. The house rented for substantially less prior to our stay and is not of a 3k/nightly caliber.
The kitchen needs help. There are pots and pans and lids everywhere. But couldn't find a stock pot large enough to make a big batch of chile or even to boil enough water to make pasta for us 10 hungry guys. 5 toasters, three that work. And no icemaker. We could only get one of the fireplaces to work. Also only one of the TVs worked. It isn't a true "ski out". You still have to walk a bit until you get to the trail that runs alongside the road down to the Bridges run. It is "easy in" depending on your definition. You have to walk 200 yards or so after exiting the Bridges run. I'd highly recommend walking over to that run so you mark your exit before your first day of skiing as if you miss it you will end up at the Chondola base where you then will ride up to the Village Express, then the Polar Queen, then the Prospecter before getting back to Galloping Goose which takes you to Bridges.
The property is beautiful and spacious. We had more than enough room for our group. However, ski in/ski out is quite laborious. The ski out is better but getting back to the house required us to pick up skiers at the grocery store with a car to avoid walking in ski boots on busy roads. The bigger issue for us, however, was safety inside the house. The steps and floor are quite slippery. There were cautions posted but two of our family still slipped. The hot tub had ice built up around it (from drippage above). Despite being very careful, my father-in-law took a hard fall which required paramedics and a trip to the Telluride medical center. Thankfully he wasn't badly hurt and only required 6 staples to a laceration on his head. The hot tub should either be off-limits to renters or rubber mats should be added to the back porch to provide traction. We also recommend adding some type of skid stickers on every stairstep inside the house.
We had a group of 9 renting this property. The house is spacious with common areas large enough for our whole group to be together. The bedrooms were large and comfortable. A small humidifier in each bedroom as a great amenity. Bathrooms were nice and well stocked with towels. The kitchen was well stocked and appliances were in good shape. The property location is super convenient. It is typically ski in/out but we were there during a warm spell therefore it was still very close with just a short walk each way plus it is a very easy walking distance to the free gondola. A free amenity of the property is the Dial-A-Ride. When anyone in our party needed a ride in and around our area or Mountain Village we used this service with usually a 5 min wait. The property concierge was very helpful with all our questions and she provided a great recommendation for a grocery delivery service in the area.I think the only improvement I would have liked is electronic code entry to the house rather than physical keys since that is easier when you have a larger group. And in stocking feet, the wood floors and stairs can be a bit slippery so we needed to be careful when walking around in socks. This is a great property and I highly recommend it based on the condition of the property itself, the great location, and the easy to work with owners and concierge.
From check in to check out our experience with this home was amazing. Ski in and Ski out was super easy and the views were stunning. Plenty room for our whole group and the cleanliness was on point. The service and communication was on point and they made it easy every step of the way. The pool table was an added bonus with plenty of room for everyone to hang out and visit. Thank you for helping make this such an incredible trip!!
Great House. Fits the mountains with log incorporated construction versus some others with a modern or contemporary style.. Great location. Fantastic mountain view from the main room windows. It was an extraordinarily cold period during our stay, but the house stayed warm.
Incredible... the views are breathtaking and the location can't be beat. It's a 7 minute walk to the Gondola taking you into downtown Mountain Village and downtown Telluride. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived to see the hot tub was larger than expected. The bunk beds were also comfortable for my friends. The kitchen was also spacious and perfect for us. The only downside, is that one of the Queen bedrooms is really just a pull-out couch and not comfortable. My friends preferred to sleep on an air mattress in that room. Also, that room had a private bathroom but no shower head.
We are a family of 13 (7 adults and 6 kids). We wanted a family vacation that would allow lots of activities and a great home to stay in. We love telluride but mountain village provided more natural surroundings and space. Telluride is so easy to get to by gondola that we did not miss being in town. This property was amazing and allowed us lots of space to spread out. The kids all moved to the downstairs and loved their ability to play. There were 6 kids age 5 to 11. The older kids could retreat to the bunk room and read/ iPads. We cooked every night in the well equipped perfect kitchen. The adults would have appetizers on the patio. We then did buffet style dinners with the kids eating in the kitchen. Many nights the adults would sit on the patio after dinner or we would go to the lawn at sunset in mountain village. Each day, planned activities ranged from paddle boarding on trout lake, to hikes around the town center telluride, rock climbing and mountain biking. Waking up every morning to coffee in bed in the gorgeous master suite and the beautiful view out a full size window was devine.
Location location location ⦠everything was easily accessible. Having the grocery store so close was incredibly convenient. It was easy to walk to the grocery store, catch the gondola to mountain village and telluride and to basically have everything at your fingertips. We will definitely be back next year and plan to rebook at this property.
This house is situated in an awesome ski-on/off-able location and has an absolutely amazing view of the SJ mountains out of a giant picture window. Each morning, thanks to solid snowfall, we were able to put our skis on next to the garage and make our way down to an easy access trail to the Bridges run.
The concierge was highly accessible and helpful as well, as we had a few minor issues which were resolved very quickly. The owners were highly communicative as well, making sure check-in and check-out were smooth. All around, amazing house and highly recommend.
The house was well located and well stocked with kitchen supplies etc. Fifth bedroom downstairs is a sleeper sofa. And a full bath though there was no shower curtain. Would be nice to have a tv in main living area though fifth bedroom / tv room was nice. Not really ski in but close for a walk at least in snow board boots but not so much for ski boots. The dial a ride shuttle is a short wait and can get you anywhere.
We were there for family wedding. The location was perfect short walk to gondola. Just some minor maintenance is needed . Plenty of room for our family .
Our large family group had a wonderful summer stay at 104 Benchmark. Location is very convenient to all the activities and events of Telluride and Mountain Village, easily accessed by a short walk to the gondola. Communication with host and concierge was excellent and the listing photos accurately depict the house. The back patio with its wonderful views was a highlight for our group.
The Bernath Mountain Residence was absolutely breathtaking! The pictures of the home were spot-on and even more beautiful than pictures can convey on the website! We had 14 adults and four children (ages 3-6). We all had comfortable sleeping arrangements, and the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, and showers in the home was a luxury!
The kitchen was fully stocked with paper goods, pots and pans, cooking utensils, and cleaning supplies. We needed a few extra towels to use for the hot tub, which were delivered to us in a matter of minutes. The bathrooms were stocked with plenty of toilet paper, shampoos, soap, and conditioners.
The walk to the gondola was a beautiful one, including a trail through the trees, a walk past a pond inhabited by beavers, and easy access to a food market on the way. This was our 4th vacation to Telluride, and the use of the free gondola is one of our favorites! Getting back and forth to the gondola station was very easy... even with wagons and small children.
The owners of the resort home were very responsive and answered any questions we had for them. The VRBO group in Mountain Village made themselves available for any questions we had. On behalf of our family and friends... thank you for making this visit to Telluride our best yet!
Thank you!

Perfect for our group of 10, very easy ski out; ski almost in; 3 bedrooms upstairs, 2 downstairs plus a den and an office each with fold outs. Well supplied kitchen except for possibly the dullest knives in Telluride. Working gas fireplace in kitchen. Excellent concierge service. Dial-A Ride was unsubscribed at our time of rental so confirm with owner it is operational or rent a car. Easy walk to/from the gondola & Market in daylight but at night it felt dangerous as its pitch dark (no street lights) without sidewalks
We had 15 guests in total. 8 adults and 7 children. We are avid skiers and loved th the ease of hopping on the gondola and taking the kids to ski school. The home is just beautiful. 3 separate floors made it easy for everyone to have their own space. Would LOVE to rent this home again!
This property is in a great location next to Mountain Village. Looks like the property has not been updated in years. Jacuzzi tub had mold in the Jets. Wi-Fi was poor televisions not hooked up to Wi-Fi.
We enjoyed our stay as our family gathered to celebrate a fall wedding on San Sofia.
Pros: walking distance to gondola, beautiful log home with amazing view! Easy to park and use of garage was really nice! Loved hot tub! Saw wildlife outside back yard!
Cons:
Rugs- very slippery: could be very dangerous (includes small rugs at doors and also rugs under tables and in sitting room. Caution!!) Very dusty; could use thorough cleaning. Bunk bed room- mattresses are very thin and can feel springs; would be nice if parents had full size bed in addition to twins. Wooden furniture in bunk room was not practical for sitting; very uncomfortable. 2 beds in bunk room did not have top/ flat sheet to cover up with.
Office- needs pull out couch- wasted space
There were No tvs spaces in rooms other than bedrooms for all to gather.
Minimal towels and there were no wash cloths to use in bathroom.
The queen bedroom with its own bathroom located on the bottom level is a pull sofa sleeper. The VRBO listing indicates that it is a regular queen bed we were not able to use it as a bed and had two fashion our own bed for a couple that was sleeping in there. This was a huge disappointment since we paid for a proper queen room with bath.
