The room was dirty, i even found a dead fly on the corner of the bath tub. It smells really bad in the room won't recommend and won't go there anymore

A modest room
Cheap rate, and hotel was below average standards and average room rate. We stayed both nights we had booked. On balance, it would be ok for some, and not acceptable for others. Had TV, fridge, microwave, wi-fi (we did not try it). No room cleaning or possible open windows (not counting the storm window of the front door). Check room before paying.

This motel was dirty, there was rust in the bath, the bathroom door did not close, hardly any water pressure, cracked blinds. Would definitely not stay again.

A nice little spot nestled between New Liskeard and Haileybury. The attendant was very friendly and kind. Our room was cozy and perfect for a night stay before heading further down South.

Don’t stay at this Motel!
Although sheets & towels clean, rest of room was filthy. Carpet had brown clumped “things” on it near fridge. I had to wipe down all tables, night table etc with wet wipes (gross) Fridge was coolish when I arrived but by 10pm was room temp. Had no hairdryer nor outlet in bathroom to plug in. Entire room needs a good scrub or be upgraded.

This was our first stay at Edgewater. The manger was pleasant to deal with and was quick to help us with the things we requested. The building itself is a little run down and could use some updating and renovating but overall the room was clean and the location was convenient to both Hailebury and New Liskeard as we have family in both towns. Was nice being close to the water as well. We would stay again.

Comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchenette. Bathroom fine.I liked that it is on the shores of Lake Temiskaming in a nice, natural setting. New ownership will need to bring the accommodations up to date and take good care of the beautiful grounds. New cleaning staff being hired. Any requests I had were quickly and courteously handled by management. I would stay there again.

Needs total overhaul. Highway noise. Unsafe waterfront; broken dock. “Camping” consists of a small place on a lawn to pitch a tent.

Good value for money. Rooms had been renovated fairly recently, so everything was fresh and clean. The mini fridge/freezer was very useful. Three little issues: one lightbulb was missing from the bathroom light; there was no safety chain on the door; and the bathroom fan was VERY noisey.

When we check in the room we initially received had cockroaches they moved us the new room was cleaner but the beds feel like laying on plywood but after driving for 24 hrs were to tired to complain the swimming doc area the water was full of algae so couldn’t even enjoy it. The staff was helpful but this wasn’t the experience we expected

Could have been vacuumed better under the beds, when we arrived there was plenty of dirt and garbage under the beds, otherwise very clean. Lamp that is on the nightstand between the beds , was not safely plugged in, the plug was bent enough that it could’ve started a fire.

My only issue was that there no hot water, the water was tepid to warm, not hot.

It's alright.
Place was clean, but found a number of things that required fixing during our stay. In all I repaired 5 items in the room. After those issues were cleared up the room was ok. The motel probably owes me about $500 in repairs. LoL

Love that it's by the lake with chairs to enjoy the view. However, the room needs new curtains; the furniture should have been dusted , a wall and around the tub washed, windows washed; further more, 1 creamer and one coffee for two people, for 3 days ??? Oh, and no tea bags. I accept that there is no room service, but make sure there are enough supplies for the duratin of the stay for the number of guests.

Beautiful grounds right on lake. Room very small and a bit dated but adequate for one night Fridge not working properly. Heating was an electric fireplace. Motel travel guide indicated renovations were ongoing, particularly to be eco friendly

Beautiful location, there’s a lookout over the lake, some small trails, a large outdoor fire pit with enough firewood for the year. Also a gazebo and nice clean barbecue with utensils. The dock seemed a little sketchy so I stayed on the center where you could see a support beam below.
