Dôme Charmant et Confortable à Terlingua, Texas

Sleep under the Milky Way in a hard-shell geodesic dome perched high on a 100-foot volcanic hill in Terlingua, Texas, 11 minutes from Big Bend National Park. This is a private desert escape with floor-to-ceiling dome views, reclining first-class airliner seats and your own fire pit, under one of the darkest skies in the country.

BATHROOMS (PLEASE READ)

There is no bathroom inside the pod. Shared bathhouses are a short 2-minute walk (100–400 feet), with hot showers, indoor bathrooms at the top of the hill and outdoor ones at the bottom. We provide a towel, shampoo, conditioner and body wash.



LOCATION

On TX-118 in Terlingua: 11 minutes to Big Bend National Park, 5 minutes to Terlingua Ghost Town for restaurants, shops, mines, art, grocery and gas. Use Google Maps (Apple Maps gets lost out here). We're in an International Dark Sky area, so try to arrive before sunset on your first night and bring a flashlight.



WATER

Our well water is non-potable, so bring drinking water or grab some in town. Water is precious in the desert, so please keep showers short.



PETS

Welcome: $95 for up to 2 pets, plus $50 for each extra pet (max 4). Let us know after booking so we can add it. Keep them leashed, on the trails, and never alone in the pod. Unreported pets are charged $250.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

• Max 3 adults, or 2 adults + 2 kids. Larger groups need a second pod

• Check-in 4–9pm with UTV help up the hill for you and your bags. Arriving after 9pm? It's self check-in, and after booking you'll get every detail you need. Check-out 11am

• Date or pod changes $50 ($100 same day), subject to availability. Contact us to request

• The pod is up the hill, so expect a short, sometimes steep walk. Our UTV runs luggage up 9am–9pm

• Campfires welcome: never leave a fire unattended, take extra care in strong wind, and fully put it out with water

• Wear proper shoes and stay on the trails
