Hotel Thanlyin

« The hotel said there was no reservation from Expedia in their system, so we lost all the money unless you refund it. This is called fraud in the West. »

« The hotel is decent for a Mercure. However, it was full of mosquitoes in this early January 2020. I have been traveling a lot and I have never seen so many in a hotel. We got bitten: - in the elevator - in our room (could not sleep up to 2am) - at the restaurant - around the swimming pool »

« Relaxing..a bit far from downtown but the environment was wonderful so i booked anther 3 nights ! »

« First of all, this hotel lives up to its 3-star rating. The rooms are clean and spacious for one traveller. I reserved a non-smoking room, but unfortunately, the smell of cigarette smoke still lingers in the room. Unless the AC is on, the annoying cigarette smoke punishes me and forces me to get out of the room for fresh air. Regarding the staff, it is needless to say that they are courteous, hardworking, attentive, and helpful (this is a Burmese thing!!). I am touched by their unwavering...

« the bed was comfortable, AC works well. Floor is not clean with hairs and seed in the bathroom. It looks like they just change the bedsheet after the previous guest and no proper cleaning was done. »

« Comfortable and clean. Of the six or so places we stayed in Myanmar, it was definitely the best. The service also very good. The “Venus” message spa gave great messages for a reasonable price. I declined the “additional special services”, and was kinda surprised that such was politely offered. I guess the name “Venus” should have been a clue. Still, I would recommend it as the message was very good. »

« Poor services. Expensive. Staff not helpful. No payment possible with Master Card. »

- in peu excentré, l’humidité ds les chambres. »

« We had an excellent stay for our 8th Anniversary. The room was beautiful and the service was top-notch. The best part was the guest policy, we were able to invite our friends over without any restrictions or headcounts. It made hosting our gathering completely stress-free. Highly recommend! »
