Verbesserungswürdig: Check-in, Kommunikation und Genauigkeit des Onlineauftritts
If you are booking on VRBO and are considering a property managed by any variation of Wonderful Italy, keep looking. While the apartment was fine, the entire checkin process was so incredibly poorly handled. Days in advance I filled in all of the requested information to streamline check-in. I signed so many forms I was afraid I may have sold my one remaining kidney or my firstborn child. I was notified that within the hours ahead of my arrival I would be contacted by an agent who would provide access to the property. I was on the train to my destination with less than an hour to arrival and I had not heard from anyone. I reached via VRBO who helped facilitate the communication. Wonderful Italy sent me a sideways photo of a lock box along with instructions on how to open it. I’ve done this before, should be a piece of cake! Well, some piece of something else employed by “Wonderful” Italy failed to tell me that the convenient lock box was located AT A TOTALLY DIFFERENT ADDRESS! I arrive at the address of the property and there is no lock box. Texts to Wonderful Italy were not being responded to which required a non-WiFi international telephone call to a phone tree that added more time before reaching a person. Some Wonderful Italy employee tried to tell me that I had been told the location of the lockbox. At this time the address at which the lockbox was located was sent. A less competent operation would be difficult to find.
