« Excellent place to stay and probably one of my favorite properties that we have ever stayed at. Very quiet but also close enough to State College and Bellafonte that the location is convenient. The cabin is fairly new and very clean. Someone took the time to put fresh flowers in two places in the cabin. There is a nice little Amish farm right up the road that serves lunch and has homemade ice cream on Saturdays. Lots of good restaurants within 15-20 minutes. For breakfast, go to the diner...

« I absolutely loved how clean and cozy the cottage felt—it was so comfortable and welcoming. There were so many great options and places to explore nearby, which made the experience even better. I especially loved waking up to the beautiful waterfront views in the mornings. Interestingly, I actually enjoyed the unique aspect of the water being on a bit of a time cycle—it added to the charm in a way! « We absolutely loved our stay! The home was super clean and cozy and the owners went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. The location was perfect since we definitely were far enough away to "go off the grid" yet a 30 min drive to State College to enjoy some great eats and drinks. We will for sure be making more reservations here in the future. »

« Not many options in Port Matilda, so we were lucky to find this place so close to the Marrasas Mountain Lodge. We were still able to get an Uber from state college. And swing into state college for breakfast and supplies. It was perfect for our family of 6. And we even hosted some friends after the wedding. The outside looked comfy but weather wasn’t cooperating (rain) to use it. Loved the blue white Penn state details. Host was super responsive with some last minute questions. »

« This property is beautiful inside and out. Very nicely remodeled but still left the charm of the original house. The area is breathtaking, with a nice calming steam running throughout and dairy cattle coming to wish you good morning and good night. Highly recommend! »

« My two brothers and I met up for a 3 day fishing trip to Spring Creek. This property was perfect for our mini vacation. The house was very nice, clean and well suited for the number of guests. The location was quiet and close to Spring Creek but not too far from groceries stores and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again. The addition of a washer and dryer would be very beneficial for guests on extended stays. »

« Super clean and convenient property a stone’s throw from PSU. Served as our home base during the college football playoff weekend. We truly enjoyed the basement / family room area for gathering to watch TV after the Penn State game. Communication with the homeowner was exceptionally timely and there were a host of thoughtful extra touches including chocolates on the beds, access to fresh produce from an indoor tower garden, and the use of a folding table for our tailgate. Would recommend...

« The house was very clean and the beds comfortable. We appreciated all the breakfast food that was left for us. The pool and the hottub were fantastic. There is road noise from a nearby highway but we ignored it and really enjoyed our time on the property. We hiked, rode bikes and fished. We will be back. »

« If you want to stay out in the countryside but still only minutes from State College, check out the Milk House. We were greeted by a rooster and a few chickens as we arrived. And you can schedule a visit with the baby goats during your stay as well. The property is small but very cozy. A great place to simply rest and recharge. »

« Five friends and I booked this listing as a meeting point from our homes. The price was right, the area picturesque, enough bathrooms, beds and space for all of us to gather or have alone time. We shared many laughs in the sunroom over games and coffee. We went hiking, to Shy Bear and Brookmere winery. Highly recommend all venues and this listing! »
