« Great stay at a great pub with good well priced food, room clean and well maintained. Only problems, finding somewhere to eat Monday night and as a business traveller would have like breakfast to be served a little earlier. Although the breakfast tray was good. »

« Honestly this was the MOST perfect stay for a new forest adventure. i cannot tell you how special this place is you just need to go an experience it for yourself. Special shout out to ALL the staff, they were just as perfect as the room was. thank you thank you thank you. it was a dream. »

« Really enjoyed our stay. Also had dinner which was tasty. Breakfast was a little leisurely for us which would have been fine if we had more time. »

« A very expensive hotel for such an old room with a bathroom that would really need to be renewed. Apart from that the bedroom was clean and the staff was nice »

« I have just stayed at The Fighting Cocks for the weekend. Unfortunately we choose the weekend of the A31 closure and the New Forest fires! Resulting in a lot of traffic passing the pub. Not their fault. The staff were very helpful and friendly the room was great, clean and comfortable and breakfast was included and really tasty. We had an evening meal on the Saturday which was ample and reasonably priced. All in all a great little stop over. »

« B&B avec de grandes chambres et salles de bain attenantes, très propre et confortable. Situé dans la magnifique campagne du Dorset. La propriétaire est très accueillante, gentille et attentionnée. Quand on rentrait l'après-midi elle nous apportait du lait frais pour le thé et des biscuits. Elle avait plein de bonnes adresses pour aller manger et connait bien la région. Ses petits déjeuner étaient incroyable, très bon English breakfast qu'elle cuisine le plus sainement possible (peu de matières...

« Characterful thatched inn in countryside location. Comfortable room & good breakfast. »

« Room was very clean and well presented, with all expected facilities. Plenty of parking and welcoming staff. Breakfast provision was not clear when booking but was available to purchase each morning. The menu suggested that continental breakfast was included in the price of all cooked breakfasts but it was not evident. Breakfast was a good portion size and very tasty. Evening meals available at a discounted price and were very filling. These was some evidence of a historic water leak in...

« The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was good and filling. With tasty bread sausages and bacon. The staff were very helpful. I had to ask for help to switch the shower off as it seemed to get stuck. Unfortunately I was not able to use the pool and sauna as closed for maintenance. That had been what had attracted me to the property in the first place! Great location and easy walk to Gold Hill. »

« Un cadre enchanteur, des personnes très gentilles et de la bonne nourriture (super les cookies pour nous accueillir dans la chambre). »

« Lovely quiet spot, great for having a drink in the garden after a day out. Pet friendly which was great. The dog was able to stay in the room and go in the bar too which was nice. Unfortunately the room was not very clean. There was dust and cobwebs everywhere. The skirting boards hadn't been touched. The bathroom was clean but not a deep clean level as there was dust and grime around the toilet. The towels were plentiful and clean. The bedding was clean but the divan itself had a stain as...

« the room is large so an armchair and luggage rack would be useful . As well as a large bed (1.60) but everything else is perfect including the restaurant »

« Lovely countryside location. »
