A Remote Costa Rican Experience

One of the things that makes Playa Lagarto special is its peaceful and relatively remote location. This is not a busy tourist resort or city environment. If you're looking for peace, nature, privacy, and an authentic Costa Rican setting, you'll appreciate the location.

Because of the remote surroundings, we strongly recommend having a vehicle during your stay and making sure you have sufficient fuel before heading into the development. Gas stations and larger shopping areas are not immediately nearby.

During the rainy season, road conditions can change, and we recommend using a larger vehicle or one with higher ground clearance. This can make getting around the area considerably more comfortable, particularly after heavy rainfall.
