Excellent location but not well maintained
Firstly, here is the positive side: The appartment is in a phantastic location very close to Vaporetto stop Ca Rezzonico and lively Campo Santo Margarita and has great restaurants, wonderful bakery ("Majer"), first class ice parlour ("Gelateria Doge") and a small supermarket nearby. You can walk to all the interesting sights and don't even need to take the vaporetto to find your way round. It is even fun to walk to Piazza San Marco or the Guggenheim Musum. You can see that the owner has invested a lot in the past e.g. le Creuset pots and very nice designer leather sofa, but the housekeeper did a bad job before our arrival. Now the downside of our stay: the place had not been well cleaned: I don't enjoy finding other people's hair in my bed and sticky cupboard floors in the kitchen as well as a dirty used sponge for doing your dishes. The "greeter" was alright, but showed up a bit late and was in a very great hurry because she had to meet several other guests at a similar time. We had bad luck that on the Easter weekend there was terrible noise right in front of the bedroom from people partying on their boats until late at night. This may have been due to the holidays, but was really bad when you just wanted to sleep after walking around all day and people turned up the music.... So be aware the location can be very lively. Overall we enjoyed the stay and appreciated the great location, buying phantastic fresh fruit from the boat right next to the place and delicious croissants and bread from the bakery, but the owner should have a word with his team maintainig the place, especially since this is being advertised as "luxury".

Gerne immer wieder!
Top - Lage abseits der großen Touristenströme. Schöner Blick auf den kleinen Kanal, das Gemüseschiff und die "Faustkampf"- Brücke. Bequeme Sofas und Betten, angenehm auch die zwei Badezimmer, wenn man mit einem Teenager unterwegs ist.

Sehr schöne Wohnung, geschmackvoll möbliert, bequem, behaglich. In der Küche alles was man braucht (wir haben aber nur einmal gekocht). Sehr nette Umgebung, Univiertel, viele Galerien, Bücherläden, nette Lokale, Jazzclub nebenan. Wir waren nur zu zweit, aber auch für vier wäre es noch sehr großzügig. Wenn ich nochmal nach Venedig fahre, würde ich gern wieder hier wohnen

*Unter Luxury, wie die Kanalufer-Wohnung im Internet angeprisen wird, verstehen wir etwas anderes. *Hier einige Bemerkungen: -Die WC Schüssel waren schwarz vor Dreck -Die Dusche im Hauptbad war defekt -Die Reinigung der ganzen Wohnung war ungenügend *In Italien rechnet man in Euro und nicht in £ * Bei der Bankabrechnung haben wir realisiert, dass es sich um englischen £ handelt. *Das ist sehr irreführend und nicht kundenfreundlich *Diese Wohnung können wir keinem weiter empfehlen! Schöne Wohnung mit Abstrichen
Die Lage der Wohnung und das Wohnzimmer sind top, so wie beschrieben und auf den Fotos zu sehen. Bei den anderen Zimmern waren wir etwas enttäuscht. Das separate Bad (auf dem Inseratsfoto noch ohne Duschkabine) hat zwar jetzt ein Duschkabine, welche jedoch an einer Bruchstelle notdürftig mit schwarzem Leukoplastband repariert ist. Das Bad und die Duschkabine waren nicht nicht sauber gereinigt. Beim anderen Bad war die Lampe über dem Waschbecken defekt. Diese wurde nicht repariert / ausgewechselt. Man sagte uns, wir sollten uns hierzu mit dem Management in Verbindung setzen. Sorry, aber das ist nicht Aufgabe der Gäste einer "Luxuswohnung". Bei der Beschreibung der Wohnung sollte bitte auch das Merkmal "Terrasse" herausgenommen werden. Das ist irreführend. Es handelt sich um einen nicht vernünftig nutzbaren Innenhof umgeben von meterhohen Mauern. Dies alles hat uns etwas geärgert, deshalb würde ich hier nicht von Luxuswohnung sprechen. Empfehlung an den Eigentümer: Instandhaltung kontrollieren .

Tolle Wohnung in einem schönen Viertel in Venedig . Check In Vorgang war sehr unkompliziert, ein sehr freundlicher "Greeter" hat uns an einem nahe gelegenen Platz abgeholt und die wichtigsten Punkte (Supermarkt, Vaporello Station, ..) gezeigt. Die Wohnung selbst war ein wahres Highlight des Urlaubs. Vom Wohnzimmer und Schlafzimmer aus direkter Blick auf einen kleinen Seitenkanal in dem ab und an eine Gondel vorbeifährt. Gegenüber wird frisches Obst direkt vom Boot verkauft. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt mit unseren Kindern hier sehr genossen.

Prima Wohnung in toller Lage
Anmietung und Kommunikation waren sehr gut und die Wohnung ist für vier Personen groß genug, da es zwei separate Schlafzimmer gibt. Notfalls kann noch jemand im Wohnzimmer schlafen. Die Schlafcouch dort ist breit genug und auch sehr bequem.

Dorsoduro einfach wunderbar
Mit der Wohnung hat alles bestens geklappt. Die Ausstattung war wie erwartet sehr gut. Die Wohnung liegt sehr zentral und man kann von dort aus viele Unternehmungen zu Fuß erledigen, weitere Strecken kann man sehr gut mit dem Vaparetto (Wasserbus) erledigen. Der Aufenthalt war ein voller Erfolg.

Sehr schöne Wohnung in perfekter Lage
Wir haben uns mit einem befreundeten Ehepaar zu einem Kurzurlaub in Venedig entschlossen und sind auf diese Wohnung gestoßen. Um es vorweg zu nehmen: Es war ein Glücksgriff! Sowohl die tolle Lage direkt an einem wunderschönen Kanal unweit vom Campo San Barnaba sowie die gehobene Ausstattung der Wohnung ließen keine Wünsche offen. Innerhalb von wenigen Minuten sind die Vaporetto Haltestellen Ca´Rezzonico und San Basilio erreichbar, ebenso Bäcker, Metzger, Supermarkt und viele nette Restaurants und Bars. Auch der bei den Venezianern beliebte Campo Santa Margherita ist nur einen Katzensprung entfernt. Unser Fazit: Ca' Leonessa kann man vorbehaltlos empfehlen!

TOP! Highly recommended!
We stayed there for four nights in April with our three children. It is a very cute appartement in a pretty authentic corner of Venice. Ther are not too many tourists around but it's in walking distance to all touristic attractions. You find cozy little restaurants and bars on the nearby places. The appartement is beautifully decorated, well equipped and has a great canal view. We missed nothing! It was perfect for our short family vacation. We had a very friendly contact to the owner and will certainly come back!

What a way to experience Venice
We had a fantastic time at this wonderful property. From booking to communication, it was all done with ease. The property was spacious enough for 4 adults and was close to everything. Being on a canal was just beautiful, we really felt that we where experiencing the life of a Venetian.. Food, shops and atmosphere were all at our fingertips. Highly recommend this property!!!

Loved the location (on the canal, two cool plazas only a few yards away). Communication in general and especially how to get there was great, which was extra helpful in Venice given the unique and diverse choices on how to get from the airport to the property. Lovely - converted in old Venice property which I love - 10 steps to appmnt. Warm and sumptious bedroom . They organised taxi from airport and were there personally to greet us onto boat as it was late and dark. Fantastic location
Our family of 6 stayed here for New Years at the end of our trip to Italy. The location was great - more of a local neighborhood but walking to St Marcos square. Lots of shops and places to eat and groceries nearby. Apartment itself was good - very clean, updated bathrooms good amount of space and felt very safe. You could look out the window onto the canal and there was a fresh fruit/veggie boat right there. Host communication was wonderful and they met us on time and took us to the apartment. Would definitely stay here again!

Outre son emplacement remarquable l'appartement est facile d'accès depuis l'aéroport avec Alilaguna ligne orange. Débarcadère à moins de 200m de l'appartement. Boulangerie à 20m et supérette à 90 m. La literie est très bonne. Quelques petits désagréments : plusieurs ampoules étaient hors d'usage pendant notre séjour rendant une des salles de bain inutilisable pour la toilette. Les meubles de la cuisine manquent de maintenance( porte de placard bringuebalante, bandeau restant entrebâillé). Ustensiles et vaisselle minimalistes. Il reste que nous recommanderons cette adresse à nos amis. Christiane et Olivier

I left my heart in Venice 15 years ago!
Our place was the absolutely perfect. Places to eat were steps away. This is my 3rd visit to Venice and Dorsoduro is, by far, the best area to stay. Our apartment was very roomy and comfortable. I am very appreciative of the kindness shown to my family and me during our stay. Day of checkout, Mass at Saint Marco lasted far longer than expected which put stress on our host. Additionally, we had no idea November 1st was a holiday that also put stress on our host. But everyone was very gracious and found workable solutions. Thank you so much and forgive me again for the added stress! Blessings to you.

Felt like home
This was our third stay at Cá Leonessa so it really did feel like home. Both the agent and owner are helpful and flexible. The apartment overlooks a small canal in a charming, lived-in part of Dorsoduro, our favourite area somewhat removed from the spritz glitz and clamour of other parts of Venice. The little bar across the bridge does a brisk trade at night (don't worry, it's not too loud or intrusive). Popular with locals, the fruit and vegetable boat is practically at the front door, a fabulous pasticceria is just around the corner, and a supermarket, excellent butcher and fishmonger (some mornings) are all close by. Just like home, the apartment could use a little attention to one or two areas, but nothing major, on the whole it is and always has been a very comfortable apartment, airy with good natural light, in a fabulous position in terms of vaporette access, touring Venice and living like a local. Wifi is excellent too.

Absolutely Lovely apartment in an amazing location! We were delighted with this unit!
Great spot on a canal only about 300 yards from Vaparetto stop and Grand Canal. Two squares with shopping and numerous restaurants really close. Great people watching as Bridge of Fists and popular little bar across the bridge from unit. Bit noisy on the Saturday night but understandably, windows muted the noise very well. Really clean, really well equipped!Was a lovely VRBO woukd not hesitate to return or recommend. Irene very helpful and patient when we had tech problems with e SIM cards

Lovely apartment in a great location.
Venice was a dream and this apartment was perfect. A great location and easy walking distance to restaurants and attractions while also being away from the major crowds. Our hosts were attentive and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The washing machine was a huge convenience. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Venice!

This place was fantastic! Off the path of tourist crowds but still surrounded by neighborhood restaurants popular local bar with friendly service. Right on a canal. The water taxi return to the train station picked us up within 10 steps of our door. We will stay here next time!

Was a great stay for us! It was a little hot though. The placement of the air conditioners was only good for part of the apartment. Location was good. Lots of cafes and restaurants around. Grocery store near. Didn’t like the little steps throughout the apartment. Kind of a tripping hazard. Host was amazing at setting up our boat transfer for when we arrived late at night from airport and had flight delays. Very accommodating.

Excellent location. Seamless check-in process.
The apartment was clean and spacious. We did not use the kitchen but it had plenty of dishes, glasses etc as well as a dishwasher if you wanted to eat in. The grocery is close by as well as cafes, restaurants and bars. Excellent speaker system. Comfortable beds, good quality linens and great a/c. My favorite part was the views of the canal. Only drawback that prevented a 5 star rating was that the drain in the second shower was clogged and it was an open shower (no door) so the floor got wet and the shower was cut short. We really would have liked to have the 2 showers available for our use. All in all a great property.

Wonderful stat
We spent an amazing week in Venice and could not have been happier with the apartment. Plenty of space and comfortable beds. 2 luxury bathrooms. Kitchen had everything we needed. We loved the location and local square where food was more reasonably priced and less crowds. Great location near the Vaporetto that we used to get to/ from the airport and 15 min walk to the train station so we were able to go to Florence on the high speed train just for a day. We were able to walk to all the attractions finding new places to get Aperol Spritz on the walk! Fantastic place to see Venice!
