An historic coaching inn. Dinner was good as was the service. Breakfast not that great. Room 23 needs some updating particularly the bathroom and the bed.

We had a couple of issues with the room. There was a leak on the tap and the bathroom vent did not work so a little steamy after a shower but we told the staff and they confirmed it would be fixed. Had a lovely lunch and dinner there and a great central place for touring the area.

Quaint Inn with quirky bathroom water function and noise during tank refill with sound like a siren. Staff were all super friendly and the breakfast was amazing.

I enjoyed the stay. The staff were friendly and offered to give assistance at any time of the day or night if needed. The food at dinner and breakfast was really good. Breakfast was cooked to order and piping hot. Thank you. Hope to see you again.

Absolutely beautiful hotel old world charm open beams and log fires. Helpful staff, excellent comfortable bed with good quality bed linen. Lovely deep bath to relax in. Fantastic menu although I was too tired for supper

Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff
Staff were very friendly and accommodating, it’s a shame that check-in is so late at 4pm. The room was very nice, clean and tastefully decorated. We had dinner at the hotel, food was nice, quick service but quite expensive, as are the drinks, but I suppose the pricing is online with area. Overall, a very pleasant stay and would recommend.

A 50/50 experience
Beautiful little place with recently renovated rooms however slightly lacking in some areas. The food wasn’t good and I wouldn’t describe the nights sleep as good. There was a lot of noise from patrons of the pub which you do except a little of when staying in this sort of accommodation but our room seemed to be above the toilets and each time someone went in or out you heard the door swing open and slam then the hand dryers. The outlet for the extractor fan for the kitchen seemed to be located close to the bedroom window so whether the window was open or closed it was rather noisy. If you opened the window to let some cool air in the room would fill with the smell of frying. We woke up to find the toilet had leaked soaking the bathroom floor which was dealt with very quickly by management once we had let them know. The room was furnished to a great standard and it was impeccably clean, breakfast was fantastic oh good value for money too despite there being an error with my order. I’m not sure we would come back to stay but we certainly would for breakfast before a big day hiking!

Beautiful Cosy Hotel
Had a lovely 2 night stay, very welcoming and a beautiful hotel, lots of nooks and crannies and very cost with the log burner fires. Food was nice too. We would happily come back :)

Conveniently located. Clean & Quiet. Comfortable beds. Some showers would benefit from a shelf for accessories. Enjoyed our stay. Vegetarian options would have been beneficial on menus. We will return on our next visit to Oxfordshire.

Worth a visit
Our experience at the White Hart was very good. Staff were very helpful & friendly. Evening meal & breakfast were excellent. Room very good & clean . Bathroom was clean bur needs an upgrade broken & worn tile. Can recommend & will visit again.

Welcoming hotel with comfortable rooms
We booked 7 rooms for a family get together to celebrate a birthday. The rooms were a good size with large en-suite shower. Well equipped with extra heater fan iron and ironing board. Nicely furnished. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. Located in a nice village with walks down to the river and beyond. Nice cooked breakfast with good sausage and bacon. Would definitely come back!
