Opossum Bay Waterfront Home, Deck & Shore Access

This beautiful light filled beach house has fabulous views of the Derwent river estuary. There is a balcony that catches the sun that is perfect for relaxing, dining, cocktails and entertaining. The house is situated on a rocky foreshore between two beaches and there is direct access to the foreshore via some fairly steep concrete stairs.

We can accommodate a maximum of 6 guests which includes children and infants.

The kitchen, dining and living areas are open plan with polished timber floors and large sliding doors that open onto the balcony which gives a wonderful view over the Derwent River.
There is bedroom with a king size bed. This is a split king adjustable bed.
There is one bedroom with a queen size bed.
There is one bedroom with two single beds.
There is a bathroom with toilet and bath.
There is a separate shower room.
There is also second toilet and shower in the laundry room.
On the upper balcony overlooking the water there are 6 outdoor chairs, table and an umbrella.
There is a lower balcony over looking the water that has two sun lounges and an umbrella.
On the deck outside the front of the house there is a sheltered private space that traps the morning sun. Here there are; table and 4 chairs and a gas barbecue.
There are cushions for the outdoor chairs in the storage space under the window seat.

Access from the road is level with no stairs.
Guests will find a key box beside the left hand door. We will give you the code on the morning of your arrival. Please enter through the left hand door.
There is room for parking one car in the driveway and two cars outside the front fence. The parking area outside the front fence is part of the property.

This holiday home is situated on a rocky foreshore between two beaches. The foreshore can be accessed via steep steps from the house. The beaches can be accessed by walking along the rocky foreshore or via the road.
The best place to buy your provisions is at the Hill Street Store in Lauderdale.

The toilet is a septic tank with an evaporation system under the front garden. It is very important that only toilet paper goes in the toilet. Please do NOT put tampons, sanitary napkins, nappies or wet wipes in the toilet.
We are on tank water so please conserve water. Have short showers only.
The maximum number of guests is 6, this includes children and infants
There is a gate on the balcony preventing access to stairs to the garden and the beach. The stairs to the beach are steep and need to be navigated with care. Therefore young children must be monitored at all times.
Camping, caravans and camper vans are not allowed.
