  • Enjoy the peacefulness of Litchfield county, Ct. This cottage is nestled in the middle of the woods in Watertown CT, where you are sure to have plenty of privacy and relaxation. When you’re ready to venture outside you can take a dip in our private beach, cast a fishing rod or enjoy the beautiful CT foliage. Cottage has been fully renovated and newly furnished. Short drive to Quassy amusement park, hiking trails, wineries, brewery, antique shops, Taft school, Westover school and so much more.

Cottage was impeccably, clean and perfect for our weekend stay in Watertown. Close to all the amenities. The neighbors were friendly and inviting. Highly recommend.

The house was clean and cozy. The outside was beautiful. No issues using the lake. Great,quick communication from host. Lots of little things stocked in case needed. Will book on our next trip. Plenty of blankets and pillows, didnt use fireplace but it was there. AC worked so well!! Check in and out was super easy and felt almost wrong to have no hassle. Cute community

I had a wonderful stay here. The home was cozy, very clean, and clearly well cared for. The host was incredibly helpful and graciously worked with me to shift my dates when my plans changed, which I really appreciated.There is a small fenced yard that was perfect for my dog and made the stay even more comfortable. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches, like having toothpaste available when I realized I had forgotten mine.Overall, a welcoming and comfortable place. I would happily stay again.

We needed a place to stay while the movers packed our house to move to PA. On the eve of our stay, a blizzard dropped twenty inches of snow. The cottage was a perfect refuge and Hector the perfect host for what we needed. He made sure the admittedly remote location was plowed and prepped for our stay. Kept in constant contact and made sure we had everything we needed. The cottage itself is inviting and clean with well appointed bed, bath, kitchen, and laundry. Highly recommended both the location and the host!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy 2-bedroom cottage! We booked it while in town for my graduation, and it was the perfect amount of space for my small family. The cottage was very clean and well-maintained, which made us feel comfortable right away.The location is absolutely beautiful—tucked away in the woods on a private lake property, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We really enjoyed being able to fish and take advantage of the playground during our stay, which was a great bonus for family time.Another highlight was how well-equipped the cottage was. It had everything we needed and more, especially helpful in case you forget any essentials.The only suggestion I would make is adding a fire pit with a few chairs. That would truly elevate the experience and make evenings even more enjoyable—we would absolutely be willing to pay extra for that feature!Overall, a fantastic stay and a perfect spot for a quiet getaway. We would definitely return!Lastly, the host went above and beyond to make sure we settled in okay. Made us aware that they were available if needed. But also allowed us to enjoy our time with no interruptions. Very respectful!

The property was clean and comfortable. The description never said how out in the middle of nowhere the property was. We’re elderly and were trying to stay halfway between our daughter’s house and the wedding venue. We ended up leaving a day early and getting a hotel so we wouldn’t have to drive back there at night after the wedding. The roads were narrow and winding. I really think the location should have and should be described in the description. We’re from rural Maine but our roads seem like highways compared to what we were on.

Normally have message that tell you when to expect check in info. I had to ask to then find out we would get it one hour before. Also many places have a house binder with FAQs and local attractions/eateries etc, would love if you could add that. Pros-very clean. Host was east to communicate with after we checked in. He even made sure we knew how to get the heat going. Quiet area. No mile long check out cleaning list. Cons— a bit misleading thinking it was on the water. Not super easy to navigate to. Need more mirrors for getting ready with only one bathroom. No outdoor furniture. The living room furniture looks cute but isn’t comfortable for movie night of leisure TV viewing. We had to put dining chairs in front of the couch for foot rests.
