„The property was oversold online to make it look like it had a view of the nearby canal, but it didn't. While I understand the house was 170 years old, it felt like it could fall apart with a false move. The main floor had several chairs, but no couch. The stairs to the top floor were very narrow and you had to be careful going up and down. The 2nd floor was the primary sleeping area with a single bed and futon bed in the landing and a queen bed and bathroom with a sink and toilet. The single ...

„The location and property were great. The house had large rooms. The host is generous for using just about anything in the kitchen and there was amply stock. We did not have to purchase paper goods etc.The instructions were easily found and helpful. Having them in the home was helpful. The basement was a treasure and was used quite a bit ! Host was very responsive. If we visit again, we will see if the house is available for sure.“

While it’s off the beaten path, it’s just a short drive to restaurants, historical sites and more. We had a great stay!“

„Only bathroom was on 2nd floor so lots of stair climbing which was not ideal for us. Water pressure in bathroom sink was almost non existent but shower was ok. Bed mattress was very high which made getting in the bed difficult for shorter people. Kitchen did not appear to have any heat in it but based on time of year this was a not a big problem. House did have a gas odor I assume from the fireplace which we never did use“
