My friends and I spent a week at the Blackberry Cottage in April 2025. The cabin is super comfortable and located to so many great WV destinations. This is the second time we stayed at this particular cabin. Just like the previous time, the cabin was spotless when we arrived and exactly as advertised. The property manager is amazing. When the internet connection dropped, we contacted her and she called within minutes with a solution. We really enjoyed our stay and will certainly be coming back.

We enjoyed our stay, the house was well stocked and clean. We have been here twice before and this trip was just as enjoyable. The host is easy to communicate with, the Wi-Fi worked well and we liked hiking around and playing by the pond.

We really enjoyed the house and location. It was well maintained, clean, and in a really nice area. We have family nearby and the location made visiting Pickens, Helvetia, and Hacker Valley easy as convenient as can be for this part of Randolph County.

We had a great time at the house. Location is great to enjoy the WV wildlife center and visiting the charming village of Helvetia ( the Hutte restaurant is delicious- cash/check only!). The property was nice - the firepit was great and the boys enjoyed fishing. The other property is close by- which may effect star gazzing if lights are on; and noise does travel. Cheryl was easy to communicate with and very responsive!

We were in town for a family reunion and this home was a great place to stay. From the spacious house, the fire pit and the beautiful surroundings, it was pretty close to perfect!

Clean home with all of the necessary items. I feel a binder with the necessary information regarding TV operation, microwave, oven and washer and dryer. Seniors struggle with the operation of new or unusual appliances and televisions. Cheryl as very friendly, accommodating, and responded quickly to our requests for information. WIFI was available and worked well. Cellular service was not available at the house. Deer, Turkeys, Geese and birds were present or could be heard daily. The Whippoorwill's were singing morning and night. Spring is a great time of year. We had 7 adults so the available beds were just right. Home can sleep 11 in the available beds and there is the couch too. Rear wood deck has 6 chairs and a table and there are 5 Adirondack chairs around the firepit.

Absolutely wonderful. We had a birthday party, which included 4 of us who styed at the cabin plus 16 guests and there was more than enough room for everyone. And everyone just loved the cabin. In fact, it may become a yearly outing!!!

Cheryl is such a kind and wonderful host and there are no words to describe how amazing this property is except perfect in every way. We enjoyed our stay here, the home was clean, well set up and welcoming! Cheryl answered all questions we had quickly and made the process easy! The location was secluded enough to have our own space to explore and spend time just relaxing, but close enough to a few attractions that we were able to get out and do something daily. We visited the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum and did a tour, learned some really neat information, visited the WV State Wildlife Center and saw many neat animals, and went to the Holly River State Park, were we took a 4hr hike alongside the river and up the mountain and under waterfalls! Great place to stay if you're looking for a relaxing and outdoorsy type of vacation!
