Basic and value for money

We have stayed a number of times in this hotel. Its basic but very good. Bedrooms need updating but I understand that this is happening soon. Breakfast food quality was fine. Food would be better served to the tables rather an the circular buffet table which was awkward to manage the rectangular dishes. Apart from that a great little hotel.

Overpriced for what it is

When we walked in, we thought this would be an upscale motel. This was a misrepresentation because the rooms were another story. A leaky sink, paint peeling off the walls, wood splitting. It definitely needs a makeover. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection. The staff was also very good and friendly.

It was a comfortable stay. Dated but that gave some character. We enjoyed it. Very friendly. Room was perfectly comfortable. Good price. Would recommend.

Dirty noisy hotel.

Will never stay there again. The room was smelly. The pillows were very uncomfortable. The fittings in the shower were filthy.

Nice room, pity about the food quality.

The room was ok and comfortable. No control over heat. The restaurant was terrible. Cold dry food. Waitress carried phone in her apron....could here it pinging when she got a messenger message. Not very classy. At breakfast the bacon and cooked tomato were cold.

It was Grand :)

The hotel is in an excellent location in Wicklow town. Foyer is lovely and welcoming, rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is super tasty. Parts of the hotel are a bit dated but its undergoing refurbishment at the moment demonstrating that management are keen to attract new and returning customers.

Pleasant Stay

The Grand Hotel is the only hotel in Wicklow town. It is in the process of being renovated as it has come under new owners. (Jan 2018) The rooms are a good size and the beds comfortable and clean. The hotel is dated and would benefit from its renovations. We were able to order food until 9 pm which was very tasty. The hotel is understaffed and we had to leave the bar a number of times to go and find the bar staff to serve us a drink even though we were residents. The staff were very courteous. There is a lot of renovations underway but it will be worth it

One of the few reasonably priced hotels I could find at this time in the area, the Grand is good value for money, providing a good variety of very adequate breakfasts. I would certainly use it again. Being not far from Greystones, the terminus of the frequent 'Dart' 'railway service to Dublin, it is an ideal location for those wushing to visit Dublin without the hassle of negotiating the city traffic

Grand Hotel - Wicklow

Wonderful seaside community! The Grand Hotel is the spot to stay in this small town. Staff was nice and attentive. Room was solid if unspectacular. The only complaint was the shower - weak water flow and difficult to figure out how to turn on.

Grand Hotel

The bedrooms are rather tired but are perfectly comfortable and clean. All other aspects of the hotel are good, the food was excellent and service was prompt by staff that were invariably charming and efficient. I will use this hotel again.
