The house has a beautiful view and plenty of room for family game nights and shared meals. We enjoyed the lovely windows all across the back of the house to allow us to see the gorgeous blue skies and sunsets. We also enjoyed the billiards table overlooking the hill country. The hot tub under the stars was wonderful. We didn't get to swim because the weather was cold, but the pool was well-maintained and pretty. Many of the appliances were new, such as a the fridge. We appreciated thoughtful touches such as the dining room table top, a stunning piece of wood with natural curves and a gorgeous finish. The master bedroom was lovely and spacious.The second king-size bed on the other side of the house was rock-hard, and the couple who was supposed to be in that room wasn't able to use it. Luckily, a younger family member agreed to sleep on it, but then the adult couple had to fit on a queen in a smaller room. We contacted the hosts to see if there was a way to get a mattress pad, but they weren't able to offer a solution. If you like super-hard mattresses, this might be a plus for you!Our football fans weren't able to watch the college games over the holiday because the property has no regular TV stations or cable available. We reached out for assistance and were informed that we had to have our own subscription to a streaming service to watch regular TV.Ultimately we had a great time and appreciated the opportunity to ring in the new year in a such a beautiful setting.
