The property lies on the outskirts of the charming rural village of Gilling East which is home to the beautiful nine-hole Gilling Castle Golf Club, and is perfectly positioned for discovering the tranquil expanses of the North York Moors and the Howardian Hills. To the north, the traditional market town of Helmsley (5.5 miles) has a choice of friendly pubs and restaurants, with attractions including a medieval castle and the picturesque Helmsley Walled Garden. The surrounding area offers a wealth of historic sites and family attractions including Castle Howard, Rievaulx Abbey, Byland Abbey, Flamingo Land Resort and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway in Pickering, all within 20 miles.


A large floor-to-ceiling arched glass doorway leads you inside this light-filled, elegantly decorated hideaway where you will be immediately greeted by the airy and spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which offers a warm welcome. The cheery lounge area features ample seating, a TV and a lovely wood burner set in a characterful brick fireplace, providing a relaxing space for everyone to unwind after a great day out. At the heart of the room, the farmhouse-style dining table is perfect for sharing all your favourite family dishes which you can rustle up in the fully equipped and thoughtfully arranged kitchen area to one side. Heading upstairs you will find an invigorating bathroom and a choice between two cosy bedrooms: a stylish king-size room with ample hanging space, and a lovely bunk bedroom with a wardrobe and desk.


Stepping outside, the serene gardens are shared with the neighbouring cottage, with ample outdoor furniture providing a charming and relaxing spot for dining alfresco on a sunny summer afternoon. More active guests can play tennis on the shared court – please bring your own equipment. Private off-road parking is available for two cars. Guests will also have access to a useful shared laundry room.
