We arrived early and was welcomed beautifully by a gentleman (sorry I can't remember your name but he was Spanish). We were allowed to check in early and found the room to be so spacious, clean & smelt lovely. We used the swimming facilities which again where clean & tidy, also welcomed in by the young gentleman in the wellness centre who was very informative. On checkout (again same gentleman on check in) was so lovely and friendly. Would recommend this beautiful hotel and fantastic friendly team. We will be back again!

Good: Clean and tidy room with good facilities and standard speed wifi. Staff were attentive and helpful especially at breakfast. Pool and leisure area was good. Bad: Front facing room was noisy from 6am in the morning due to deliveries, I assume to the kitchen, reversing lorries beeping, trolley wheels, etc. The bar drinks were overpriced and it put me off going to the restaurant for dinner as I could imagine the prices being comparable, after reading some reviews I'm glad I passed on dinner.

Nice hotel located just outside the city centre but close enough and with plenty of parking (now charged but reasonable). The refurbishment has freshened the place up.

Booked this hotel for a family trip to York. Picked this hotel mainly due to the family swimming pool (which was good for younger kids) Would only advise booking this hotel if you like nursing home temperatures though. We had to phone reception at 01.30am due to it being ridiculously hot in our room and the rooms not having air con and the fans blowing hot even when on the cold setting. None of us could sleep. The night staff did bring us 2 random fans eventually after searching empty rooms which helped but we still had a pretty uncomfortable night. All corridors and dining area were really warm too and this was mid April so I’d hate to see what it would be like in summer. Parking is £7 for 24 hours which seems good for York. Reception staff were friendly. Breakfast was nice.

The toilet didn’t flush well and facilities a little old but the staff were excellent and the value for money was great, room was very spacious and the breakfast was great!

Overall a good stay. Nice friendly staff. Hotel is dated and that’s not normally a problem but the night rate was extremely high. Not sure I would book again due to price.

Reasonable distance from York town centre. Didn’t take too long to get an Uber into town. Nice and clean, rooms are lovely, it would have been nice to have been shown or told about the gym/swim facilities as I wasn’t told.

Great place to stay near the city centre, only 10 minutes by bus into the city centre. Spacious areas, rather small odd shape swimming pool, but had a spacious jacuzzi for many, steam room, and Sauna to finish the days. this seems to be a family-friendly hotel so you might bump into a very noisy place, where it is hard to relax. The food at the restaurant was good and the atmosphere was great.

A bit tired!
It’s a bit tatty and tired this hotel. Probably wouldn’t stay again. The rooms are big and the bed was comfortable. It’s just the bathrooms are dated and not the cleanest. The staff are friendly enough and helpful. The gym is way too small and again dated and not overly clean.

Great feel / vibe to the hotel, we really enjoyed our stay. All the staff we came into contact with were welcoming, polite, friendly and professional. Nice selection for breakfast. Good size room, which was very quiet with fridge, two portable heaters and all the extras you would expect eg robe, hair dryer etc. Minor lack of attention to detail/ decor tired in our superior room eg position of door stop in the bathroom made an already tight gap unnecessarily tighter. By repositioning the stopper by an inch or two the door could open wider (handle would still not hit the wall.) Same applies to the hook on the back of the bathroom door, by moving it to the right by one inch (admittedly it would not quite be central) it would not hit the corner of the wall which had been damaged stopping it from opening a little wider. Significant cracks in the sink. Sofa bed a little worn. Bed very comfortable with a choice of two pillows with different levels of support. Loved the 12 o’clock checkout. We had a great stay and despite some minor points around decor we would definitely stay again.

My Stay at the Delta Hotel
I have stayed several times at the Delta and it has always been excellent. My only disappointment is that you have to pay for the carpark when you stay at £7.00 per night. I believe if you are staying at the hotel it should be free as all other hotels i stay at across the country including Marriot hotels

While this was a nice hotel - with a lovely gym/pool - be very careful when booking your room. The so-called 'deluxe' room is anything but. When we realised this on arrival, we asked to pay to upgrade to a bigger/better room but the price we were quoted was 4x that as if we'd just booked the better room on Expedia. We called Expedia but the hotel wouldn't let them allow us to either a) pay the extra for the better room or b) cancel this booking and rebook the better room. So basically we faced the option of either staying in a very poor and small 'deluxe' room or paying 4x the correct price to upgrade. As you can imagine, that somewhat spoiled the trip.

Really disappointing
I hate to be the guy that complains, but we booked this trip for a bit of R&R. the main reason for picking this hotel was the Spa facilities, the pool, the jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and the gym. Unfortunately the whole time we were there, the jacuzzi was out of action which was particularly disappointing. On our last day, the gym was out of action and the sauna not working. Really really disappointed as this was the main reason for booking this hotel inparticular. The room on the other hand was great, comfy bed, great facilities. Really happy with this.

Lovely stay
Stayed for one night, nice big room and was lovely and clean. Nice pub 3 min walk away The Cross Keys which was reasonably priced with Vegan options.

We had a room at the front with scaffolding outside and a window which wouldnt close properly. It flew open during the storm and was draughty. The next day our room had not been cleaned by 4pm so had to ask. Only plug in heaters, bathroom unheated and shower controls impossible to reach around the screen. I doubt we will stay again. Shame because location is good.
