They are still working on completing the renovations which was good for us because we got to go thru all the rooms & see all the furnishings. When we arrived Expedia hadn't notified staff (Dave & Pete) that we were coming but we had made reservations within an hour-ish before. So, our room hadn't been cleaned. « Well kept, well equipped, well located. Had everything I needed for an impromptu two day getaway. Could’ve easily stayed a week, and while I was alone, I could also see this being an easy place to share with 2 couples and not get on each others’ nerves. Dean was great to deal with, communicated well, and promptly answered any questions I had. Fort Madison itself was a surprise - cool little river town with a friendly vibe.
