« World Famous? That's a small world. The "cabin" is trailer divided in half, not water front, don't even have a view of the water unless you're standing. So sitting on the porch to enjoy the view is not possible. There's fasteners in the walls where towel rods or hooks used to be. The refrigerator was all taped up on the inside, so various compartments were not usable. The shelf in the nightstand was angled, which I fixed. There were lots of bugs around the inside of "cabin". « We really enjoyed our stay at this historic facility. It was comfortable and really cool. We also ate at the attached restaurant. All in all it was a great night on the old Bankhead Hey! »

« The place was in need of repairs. The room was clean inside, but the furnishings were old and wore out. No ice machines or vending machines. Way over priced for what you get. »

« My first impression was, neat and unpretentious. Then I lay down. Bed & pillows were rock hard. I needed to do some work with my computer -- desk but no plug to recharge & only light was from behind. TV with list of channels but remote wouldn't access them. The coffee makers cord was too short to reach the outlet! And clean -- maybe not, considering huge accumulation of dead bugs in overhead light. Also, extremely weak water pressure in shower. Never again! »

« Lovely little place in nowhere Texas. Will be returning soon for another get away weekend. Some of the roads to the property are quite steep and unpaved, not a negative just something to be aware of. »

« Inside the Cabin was clean, kitchen faucet is loose. The sitting area overlooking the river is beautiful & serene. The outside of the property has a lot of potential but is somewhat cluttered/unkept— but the view is awesome. The Host was helpful & responsive. »

I came with my hiking group to visit the new Palo Pinto mountains to honor our friends and avid hiker who passed away . Just exactly what we were looking for. Very clean and friendly host . I will recommend to my friends. »
