« The hotel is new, clean, and had nice amenities…however during our overnight stay we went to use the microwave in room and found it to be unplugged. Easy enough fix most of the time, but we found that the outlet was mostly obstructed by the cabinet and the cord could not be plugged in, the hole for the outlet was completely off. « You will Need to buy a parking pass onsite, bring extra toilet paper(they only give you 1 roll for a week),the sleeper sofa with flip over while you are sleeping in it. The inside of the toilet bowl has never been cleaned, floor are dirty…my white socks instantly turned black from very little walking! »

« This property is immaculate! Bedrooms are HUGE and open space of kitchen and great room is an EXCELLENT gathering area...and at the back of the house - so no outside disturbances. Great location to navigate both Orange Beach and Gulf Shores along with inland communities. Although we had some challenges with the internet; service staff was extremely helpful (over a holiday) and rectified the situation in a timely manner. HIGHLY recommend this property. »

« Beautiful view of the bay which was equipped with a dock and fish cleaning station. We loved the three balconies with one providing a view of the golf. The kitchen was well equipped. My only negative was the stairs - very steep up to the first floor and additional stairs up to the bedrooms. »

The check in process dimmed my immediate impression as the staff person was very impersonal and cold, unfriendly. But then the manager entered and he was kind and informative, helpful then and later. « We really enjoyed our stay at The Plantation! We were there for less than a week and spent most of our time on the property either by the pool or on the beach. Pros: It was not very crowded when we went, parking was ample, and the property was very clean outside. Amenities in the room were great (dishwasher, tv access, balcony view of the sunrise, full size fridge). Cons: The listing mentioned “free parking” but it was not free and the bed was uncomfortable. »
