Lovely stay! Perfect location. The wood fireplace was a delightful touch with the cold wet spring nights. I love the tiny bathroom upstairs.

Family Weekend

The house had everything we needed for our family weekend getaway. It had an extra large dining area and family rooms for together time, but plenty of bedrooms to give us space. The lake view provided some amazing sunsets while sitting in the hot tub.

The owners are easy to contact and very kind. The property was very clean and comfortable for 10 of us. The driveway is a bit small, but you can park along the street if needed. I highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful

Clean, chalet with the most spectacular sunrises, sunsets. Plenty of walking, biking, fishing. Depending on the season. Close to a lot of of favorite places to visit. Lake Placid & Montreal.plenty of local places to get some great food and drinks.

This house truly lived up to its name, with gorgeous sunsets every evening. We loved the lake access, game room, and the giant lawn for hanging out and playing lawn games. The water entry is rocky (recommend water shoes for sure) but the water was warm and we spent tons of time in the lake. It is worth noting that the staircase to three of the bedrooms is a narrow spiral staircase, but there are two more accessible bedrooms and bathrooms on the ground floor. The owner was great and really responsive to questions.

Fun Relaxing weekend

We spent 3 days and 2 nights at this house, if you came to the area to fish like we did you will have a great time. several boat launches within minutes. If your going in the summer consider taking fans or window AC units along because there is only AC in one room. Fairly clean and nice backyard to enjoy. Host was readily available with any questions we had!

Beautiful house

The house is beautiful it is right on lake Champlain only problem was with finding the house but the owner answered right away and helped us out I suggest getting the address before hand because it was a little confusing google maps brings you somewhere else but other then that it was great everyone had fun and I hope to be back when it's warmer! Thank you again!

We had a really lovely time at the Lakeside Sunset Cottage. The location and property are second to none - sunsets and lakeside swims for days. We also had a boat, which we were able to connect to the mooring right off the property. Alburgh is a cute town with a little tye dye shop, bakery, ice cream shop, etc. - and is close to so much of what makes Vermont lovely (mountains, biking, swimming, vineyards, local goodies, etc). Marc, the owner, was a fantastic communicator and answered all my questions quickly. I will note that the house would benefit from a little love - a deep clean and some fresh paint, and the spiral staircase situation was not ideal for young children who were staying upstairs. Overall, we had a wonderful time and walked away with great family memories!

Beautiful Views, Great Vacation Spot!

Our family had an amazing week at the lake, plenty of space for everyone (10 in our party) to stay comfortably! Amazing sunset views and picturesque scenery during the day. It was quite warm during our stay so we were worried about the lack of central air, but you won't be spending time inside during the nice summer days and there is a fantastic breeze coming from the lake with a nicely shaded backyard and deck! A fan in each bedroom would be a great addition for summer stays though. We had a great time using the hammock, hot tub, and all the toys in the game room! Kitchen was stocked with all we needed and it was great that all soaps, linens, and paper products were provided! Several boat launches nearby for fishing, overall a convenient location! We had a great stay and would recommend for any family looking for a relaxing and fun time!

Great Location and views

The house was in a great location that made it easy to fish different areas of the lake. Short rides to many ramps, and for a few extra minutes you could easily launch in NY at Point Au Roche or at the southern end of Grand Isle at Apple Island Marina. The only drawback to the house was the limited space to park boats. And getting in and out of the driveway with a trailer could be a little tricky. We had a couple of rainy days and the yard got soft, and we left some ruts and felt awful. We tried to fix them up a little but there wasn't much we could do. I would definitely recommend the house to friends, but let them know 3 boats is about max for the property.

Lacks Welcoming Feeling

Comfortable & scenic. Can use a TV in the living room. The TV in bedroom was awkward for viewing. Needs directions for heating system. Walls were sterile.
