Casa comoda e grande, bel giardino, tranquilla. la padrona di casa molto gentile e premurosa. Posizione della casa fuori dal centro urbano ma comunque facile da raggiungere.
We absolutely loved this stay! The house was charming and in a lovely and safe area. The garden was amazing, I miss drinking my coffee there every morning, and a glass of wine there in the evening, It is very serene and peaceful. Getting around the island is an adventure and we loved exploring and finding the shortcuts. The bus stop was a plus, especially after dark, as the roads on Capri are narrow and winding. I found that my map app on my phone did a fantastic job with walking directions, often taking us on narrow paths "secret" staircases to bypass the main roads. The gardener was fantastic. He's a wonderful and hard working older gentleman, we had several wonderful conversations with him. We gave him maple syrup from our daughter's farm and he gave us olive oil from the olives he harvested. On several occasions my husband said, "A little house like this is all we need."
Amazing house, in a quiet neighborhood, walkable, felt immersed in the culture, not part of the crazy tourist area and wonderful host. If you are looking for more of a low key area with the amenities of home. Than this place is for you. My wife and I used this as our place to explore the island of capri on our honeymoon. We ate out, grabbed local fresh food to cook at home, went to beaches and sailing around the island. The house is decorated in a classic Italian style. Iâd recommend this to couples, small families or anyone who isnât looking for the normal hotel vibe.
We had the best time staying here and would 10/10 recommend this home to others! They have everything you need and also there to help. Instructions are accurate and left to you online as well as a check in book when you arrive! We relied on the bus to take us into Anacapri then taxi to other side of the island since it can be tough getting taxis during high travel times!
We had a really nice stay at the property. We made sure to have a fresh lemon everyday and we enjoyed the surprise sunset view from the bedroom and bathroom windows. I enjoyed an early morning walk down to the ruins and tower overlook and we had a tremendous meal at a restaurant that sits right above the Blue Grotto. The owner was very nice to deal with.
The space is lovely, but the arrival process was so upsetting that it ruined the first day. The house is about a mile out of Anacapri on a narrow windy road (just like you would expect on the island of Capri)...it is literally right on the road. I was able to get the key out of the box-No problem, but the key to the gate did not work--while buses are just inches away from you. after 10 minutes of pushing, and pulling on the gate, I had to call the host. She kept insisting that everything was fine and that the key worked. a local woman was walking by and I had her try to help me with the host on the telephone instructing. Even the local woman could not open the gate saying. ârottoâ (broken). The host kept insisting that everything was fine and that the key worked- The host lives in Milan and was at Work. The woman she has attending to the house had to take a bus to get to me-as i stood in the road. When the woman arrived, she was so impatient and rude to me(like I was a big imposition). She was in such a rush that she gave me very little instruction about the house in general. I was half afraid to leave the house for fear that I wonât be able to get back in ---being in a relatively remote part of the island at night. The worst part was the owner, and this woman treating me like I was a big problem for them. At one point when I called, the owner was angry because she was in a meeting. The gardener came within a day and fixed it. Then on depature there was an electrical storm. No cabs. You have to hoof it a mile to Anacapri in the rain. I tried to reach the host to ask where i might seek shelter if i need to be out by 10? No answer for over and hour. She was in a meeting. If the host is going to live so far away they have to have someone local who cares about the visitor and communicate with that person directly.
This host was also delayed in her communication prior to the trip. All things to pay attention to when seeking a rental.
Amazing experience and Maura was an exceptional host
Maura was absolutely amazing she kept in contact with me from the time I booked through check in and after. Cottage was amazing and kept very nicely. Would highly recommend
If you want to spend the most enjoyable days of your holiday in Capri, this is the place. The property owner and tenant, took care of us in the best way we could expect. I can't wait to be back again!!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Mauraâs villa. I loved sitting out on the patio sipping on a cocktail. It was very spacious and well equipped. The gardener would always cut off grapes from the vines for me. And the bus stop being 20 meters away was really convenient to get around the island. At first it seems a bit remote but once you learn the bus system itâs not. You can be in Anacapri in 5 minutes and down in Capri in 15 minutes.
I would highly recommend Mauraâs villa.
A beautiful home and a gorgeous garden! Very quiet location away from the bustle of the city, but right next to a bus stop so very easy to get to the sea or the town. I enjoyed my stay there very much!
