I decided on Whitby and booked with expeadia ..Unfortunately a double deluxe room.. Garden view was reserved for me which i have proof that this was booked via email but last minute on the day of arrival I was told that i was going to go into Wainwright and that a host will be there on arrival before 9 pm .. We arrived...

« We stayed for 3 weeks and didn't want to leave. Situated in calm and peaceful countryside, great for walking, and hedgehogs visiting us on a night. It even has its own lake if you fancy going fishing. No worries about rushing back early on a night to find a parking place, your vehicle is safe and secure. Everything is provided to make your stay comfortable and relaxing - all you need bring is your toothbrush. We'll be back soon. »

« L'accueil dans cet hôtel qui fait aussi pub et restaurant est très chaleureux. Les chambres sont assez spacieuse et la literie confortable, même si cela semble un peu vieillot...(c'est peu être à la mode en Angleterre..?) Toutefois, pour ce tarif on y est bien mieux que dans une chaine d'hôtel style F1... Bref pour un séjour sans se ruiner sur Durham et sa région, je recommande vivement cet hôtel ! »

« Beautiful property in a stunning location. The combination of an amazing walk on the doorstep, private swimming pool and jacuzzi to relax in and a quiet location made this everything we were looking for when trying to find the perfect relaxing weekend break. The hosts were friendly and on hand if we needed anything. The house and swimming pool were spotlessly clean and well maintained. An overall 5 star experience! Looking forward to returning again soon! »

« We stayed in room 1B in the Vernon Place Courtyard. Was a really convenient location right in the town centre, so all the shops and amenities that location offers. Excellent communication from our host and plenty of easy free overnight parking nearby in the council car parks (free after 8pm till 8am or 10am on Sundays at time of review) . It seems obvious in hindsight but only feedback is the images on Hotel.com and other sites are a mixture of all the different rooms they manage in that...

« The cottage was beautiful, everything we required was there and available.It is pristine clean and very comfortable.It is within a few yards walking distance to the beach with plenty of places to eat and explore.However it is not suitable for the less mobile person's.The car park although has a free alokated space but it is quite away from the cottage.We loved it and would happily stay again. »

"Chambre propre. Un souci à l arrivée avec un lit pliable au lieu d un vrai lit. On a demandé l echange le lendemain matin, ce qui a été fait. On regrette que la première nuit ait été compliquée. Il manquait un jeu de serviettes alors que la réservation précisait 3 personnes. Même chose pour les tasses de thé/café. Cela dit, l hôtel a su résoudre rapidement ces manques et c est ce qui compte. Personne n est à l abri d une erreur. Nous étions en petit déjeuner inclus et je peux vous confirmer que ce dernier est très correct. Tout à fait classique dans sa présentation et ses produits. Juste je proposerais à la restauration de sortir ses fruits plus tôt pour qu ils ne soient pas aussi froid à manger. Un melon trop froid est moins goûteux qu à température ambiante ou légèrement fraîs. Chambre très bien isolée du bruit et climatisée si besoin. Une petite affiche dans la chambre vous expliquant que l on peut zmprunter gratuitement contre caution de 5€ ou 5 GBP un adaptateur de prise anglaise serait la bienvenue ou d'avoir directement quelques prises USB pour charger les téléphones/tablette. Un bon hôtel bien placé puisqu'à 3 min à pied du pont de londres. Il est à 10 minutes de la station de métro qui est desservie par deux lignes dont la circle ring qui est celle de la gare St Pancras. A 30 minutes max du centre ville par le métro, 1 h à pied. Ça se fait sans problème en longeant la Tamise. Si vous avez une chambre avec vue, c'est magnifique. Check in et check out très rapide"

"A superb location on the river with the added bonus of the free river crossing ferry to Canary Wharf. Stunning views daytime and especially night time. Great helpful staff and superb rooms. Excellent bar area and outdoor seating. All this for an incredible price waaaaaay below hotel prices in London at this time of year. That said, although knowing it is a hostel-hotel, it was a bit of a surprise to see they allowed someone to join us in our room at half past midnight when asleep, especially when in a family group. (The person was very nice however). Overall though, highly recommended in all areas! Thanks for a superb stay for a night."
